Id seen some weird looking loads being hauled through Albuquerque's I-25/I-40 interchange late at night when I used to work there. A lot of them being escorted.

I think this is just misplaced nostalgia. The F-22 (for example) is an amazing piece of engineering, that required some "doing stuff."
