The photo gallery at MotoGP.com from Portimao is extra spectacular. IMO, ties with Red Bull Ring for best photos.

Gonna miss this livery.

We're racing not dancing
Good for him (the win, not the sister). And a limp end for so many others. We'll see if Fabio and put his shattered confidence back together next year.

Miguel Oliveira put the capital M in Monster. Good on the 2 who chose him to win. KTM ... wow. Wonderful also for Hervé and co: 20 years in the trenches.

Tech 3 now has two wins this season, and really solid results overall. Better than any season they've ever had with Yamaha, but then, this has been the year for satellite teams. I think we've only had two wins this year from Honda, Ducati and Yamaha factory riders- Dovi once and Viñales once.

Sure, two factory wins from KTM and three from Suzuki, but neither of those teams were really in contention last year at all, so they can almost be seen as second-string along with the satellites.

Is this all down to the failings of the factory guys? Marky's busted arm, Rossi's age and Maverick's mental fragility? How about Dovi? This should have been his year for the taking, but he's been mid pack for the most part.

Also, at quite a few tracks this year guys on older bikes have set lap records, beating the times set by factory dudes on the same bikes last year. Is it that the new guys are just that good?

When Marky Mark comes back, will he be able to dominate as he has the last few years, or will the young guys put him in his place?

I'm looking forward to next season.

yeap...
When watching the season recap at the end of the broadcast... I totally forgot how rag doll MM’s arm looked when the bike came and hit him while he tumbled in the gravel.... I remember when it originally happened... oh fuck, that’s not good... and now, with the delays it does make sense...

And Fabio... dude was leading the championship up until like a month ago and he finished 8th overall... :wow

Whatever that means
Way to go for Oliveira!!!! Good pick Budman!

Interesting start on the front row, every rider was a satellite team.

Can't wait for next season already!

I picked Olivera.

Hey I got one right! Man he rocked.

Good to see Miller exact a little revenge on a fast Franky.

Yamaha ... get to fricking work!! : |

Roberts did well in Moto2 to be solid in the top 10 and right on the heals of the group with the Champ in it at the end.

So long Dovi... Cal... Tito.. thanks for all the years of entertainment.

Zoinks!!!!
I’m not sure how I feel about this track. It makes for cool photos and video with crests and downhill braking zones, but it’s super tight with not much passing which makes the race kind of a snoozer.

I disagree, I think we had some good passing but not from the top position. Oliveira pulled a lorenzo style race but behind top 3 there was lots of passing. Also it's everyone's first time there so I think people need to get used to the track. I love tracks with elevation.

There was plenty of passing at several corners around this track for those racing in close quarters. Both mid-pack groups had multiple overtakes per lap.

I'm a big Oliveira fan so I'm thrilled with the outcome even though he cleared off early and dominated.

Damn, I had never been much of a Sam Lowes fan but his performances these last two weekends were legendary. Just watching pulling his glove off on Friday had me wincing. Sam told his brother Alex that he wasn't sure he could race today after Moto2 warm up. Tough dude.

Joe Roberts had several fastest laps on his climb to seventh. Early this morning, the Aprilia seat appeared to be a lock according to the GP media on Twitter and other sources. No announcement yet so it looks like that rumor is falling apart. ItalTrans says they have Roberts under contract and he is racing Moto2 next year. It would be cool to see Joe Roberts on a MotoGP bike next year but it would probably be a lot more exciting to see him on championship capable Moto2 bike.

Lot of nail biting watching both the Moto3 and Moto2 champions just hang on to claim their titles in their respective races. Congratulations to Arenas and Bastianini.

old and slow
I'd much rather see Roberts on a MotoGP Aprilia than a Moto2 bike. I wouldn't say the rumor is falling apart. I would say night fell and everyone's tired. Where's Roberts right now? Hopkins? Is it all quiet on their social media fronts? Maybe they're in Jerez...

Dang, Sister-Lover just ran away with this one today.

Jeez, they aren't even related except through their parents. :twofinger
Yamaha was embarrassing today.:wtf Only Franky on last year's bike was worth a Damn. And,as much as I love him, maybe it's time to stick a fork in Rossi. Maybe go make pizzas.:( Vinales did his usual. Blasted off the start...straight to the back.:thumbdown I don't know what his problems are. Could the bike be THAT bad ?
Quatararo wasn't much better. I guess Mir had an electrical issue. Good thing it didn't happen last weekend.
I love the track. Even though Olivera ran away, it was fun to see all the battling going on.
On to next year. MM fans, I wouldn't get your hopes too high just yet.

Or surfing. Or at the awards banquet.

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Roberts on the Aprilia. I just want to see him win some races because he has what it takes.
