MM fans, I wouldn't get your hopes too high just yet.

Tech 3 now has two wins this season, and really solid results overall. Better than any season they've ever had with Yamaha, but then, this has been the year for satellite teams. I think we've only had two wins this year from Honda, Ducati and Yamaha factory riders- Dovi once and Viñales once.

Can confirm that Cam Beaubier is on his way to Spain for testing this week. #AmericanRacingTeam #MotoGP #Moto2
Now the satellite teams are more like extensions of the factory teams, just working out of a different garage and not getting as many first class airline tickets.
In other news...
Heard a rumor Joe and Cam are going two up on the Aprilia at Jerez.
Honestly, I don't really understand the resistance to giving the satellites the top shelf bikes. I mean, I guess it was in Repsol's contract with Honda for a long time that only they got the good stuff from Honda, but that seems to have been abandoned for a few years now.
What incentive do the manufacturers have for withholding the new bikes? It turned out to be a good thing for the satellites this year, but this year has been a fluke.
I don't see any resistance to the change and I certainly don't have a problem with it. I was just pointing out how much the definition of a satellite team has changed. Not that long ago, satellite teams only ever got last year's factory bikes. Dovi and Cal had to fund their own brake system upgrades for year-old bikes at Tech3. Now the satellite teams get the latest bikes, chassis upgrades during the season, have access to data from the factory riders and factory personnel on their staff.
I guess my question was more along the lines of "Why only now, and only some?"
