Was really hoping Pecco was going to go top in Q2 with Rossi in tow for P2. Would have been sweet.

Fabio set up to show well Sunday. Gotta imagine Pecco will be fighting for the podium if he keeps it upright.

Hoping to see a good race from Dovi and Rossi. Going to be really embarrassing and confidence crushing if Mav is not fast on Sunday.

Joe Roberts...

Home Loans for Riders!
Mav for test rider.

Did you hear the announcers during Q2 say something like "If he could just do on Sundays what he sometimes does on Saturdays he would be a multi time world champion"?

Rossi is still pretty amazing. He just waits till the last possible moment to pull out a fast lap or two.

Hey bro! Thought you were still down in OC, looks like you're in Sac-town now, goodonya.

I'd love to see Mav win this weekend and put his psychological issues behind him. He's one of the few riders who can beat MM head-to-head, but for now this is his theme song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAh-RA6IjRQ

I had predicted Joan to win since he had such great pace last weekend, but he 'Mir'-ly qualified in 11th, so I guess not!

When will Pol stop crashing.. holy shit. He is so lucky.

Lots of on boards with leather that look like he is dirt biking.

Still good to see him and BB on row two. :thumbup

Bagnia has shown great race pace. Look for him to contend.
Look for Miller to slowly drift back again.

Mav.. who the hell knows. Be great to see him stay up front and battle.

Dovi.. unemployed. Awesome. Good luck man.

Nakagami was so strong until qualifying.

Rins...:wtf :dunno

Mir has work to do for another podium, but his race pace is solid.

Should be fun :party

Well, gotta give Mav credit - I thought it was going to be the same old same old and a mental turn around isn't easy. Mir is getting the job done and Fabio's star has sure faded.

Wow, what a crazy race.

Heartbreaker for Pecco -- I hope Ducati does the right thing and promotes him to factory team next year. But then again, this is Ducati we're talking about, so it's anyone's guess.

Great to see Mav shake off all of the doubters. If he holds this form he'll be right there.

To me Mir had the best race of the day going from 11-->2. Of the 4 racers clustered at the top of the Championship (Dovi, Quartararo, Mav, Mir), I'm starting to think he might be the one to break out of the pack in the 2nd half of the season. He has great form & pace and rides (arguably) the most versatile bike that should be competitive on all of the remaining circuits.

Fabio continues to be a mystery after looking so great early-on this season. He waited too long to pass Pol, and let Mir sneak through first and then literally cut corners trying to make up for lost time. A shame to lose a podium that way, but dems the rules.

On to Catalunya!

Whatever that means
I liked Mir before but I like him even better now. That clean aggressive passing makes my pp all stiff and pointy. Now him and Oliveira need to figure out Thier qualifying.

Oliviera from 15th to 5th is impressive.

Sucks for pecco
Sucks for iker

Pol asparagus did some really good defensive riding

Rossi wtf

Oh and look at Viñales actually doing well in a race *golf clap*

Happy for Mav... hell Mav is happy for Mav.

Mir is showing stunning race pace.

Bagnia.. sorry man. You looked awesome. I am 99% confident you will be in all red next year.

Pol got lucky... seeing him get told he got on the podium when he came into the pits was cool. Glad they had a camera on him.

The points are nuts... I am agreeing with Dean... Mir looks like he could be the man.. and who the hell expected that...! :wow

Zoinks!!!!
I think Dovi is gonna be the guy in ZOZO. LeMans, Catalunya, Aragón, and Valencia are all decent Ducati tracks. In 2019 he went P2, DNF (P5 in QP), P2, and P4 respectively.

Mir could play spoiler though. His pace over distance is fantastic. If Rins were busted up, I’m sure he’d be up there too.

Sadly, Marc Marquez could still be the guy in ZOZO. The championship leader has 84 points over 7 races, averaging 12 points per race. If Marquez came back at Le Mans, let's say he'd be down 96 points to whoever was leading. Marquez of course is starting from zero. He wins the last six races in a row, and ends the season with 150 points. Dovi, or whoever is leading the championship should then average, let's say 10 points over the last six races, as Marquez is now in front of them, winning every race. That puts them at 156 points. Theoretically someone should be able to eek it out even if MM wins every race, but looking at how inconsistent everyone has been this year....you never know. Or maybe Marc never returns, and we've actually seen his last race. Wouldn't put anything past 2020 at this point.....

old and slow
I thought Marquez already said he was going to sit out for ZOZO. :dunno

HRC mouthpiece's quote:

"There has been a lot of talk about Marc's recovery and the various deadlines, but from the first day after the second operation we have said that the only objective that exists is for him to be one hundred percent. We do not want to rush. Once Marc is in a position to return and compete at the level he knows, then we will think about the next objective."

Furthermore, what did HRC do to their bike to get AM73 into the top 10, aside from everyone else crashing? Dude was throwing down some previously unseen consistency. Did HRC finally find a non MM93 setup?

They snuck into the Suzuki garage and took measurements.

Big reversal of fortune for the VR46 Academy this week. Rossi and Bagnaia crash themselves out and Morbidelli is this week's crash victim from an Espargaro. Academy riders did finish 2nd and 4th in Moto2 and 2nd Moto3 but Vietti got beat in Moto3 by Fenati of all people. Harsh.

Fast, clear-headed Mav showed up on Sunday. Would like to see that version more often. The KTMs were working a lot better this week. Hope they get it right at Barcelona. Can't say enough good things about Mir. He's getting the job done.

Bummer about the Joe Roberts crash but he was having a tough day from the start. Glad he's not injured beyond some bruises. That was an ugly highside.

Still have to watch one of the MotoE sprints. They are good fun.
