Agreed.

No need to bolt. All opinions are welcome and I think yours basically hit the mark. (Pun intended).

That's the dumbest thing I've heard.

If you're the champ, you know what it takes to win. If that involves getting a tow because you know your bike doesn't have the pace, so be it. They ALL do it. MM did it because he knew it was key to winning on Sunday. He knew Fabio never had race pace. He needed a flyer to stay with Maverick on Sunday. When he didn't get it and went airwalking, he went with a soft rear tire on Sunday to make up positions early. He made his bed knowing he probably wouldn't win. Racecraft for 2nd place? It was revered when Rossi did it, why not now?

BTW, you sound like you watched a brotogp short...:cool

I think Simon Crafar explained it pretty well. To paraphrase, he said it did happen unintentionally. People didn't purposely slow and wait around to catch a fish. They essentially went at pace and if a faster guy came around and you can latch on, then you did.
However, if the person checked his six and gave you the look, you backed off. If he had to give you the look again, then things got handled.

Towing happens. I see it as strategy and at times interesting.

I love the current qualifying format. Really happy to see Moto2 and 3 get on board. Much more fun to watch for me.

I'm not sure that has anything to do with anything. Simon probably wants a return to push starts and sidecar classes too.

During the Saturday press conference last weekend Quartararo was asked about Marquez following him so closely. Fabio said he would do the same given the opportunity. These guys are all ruthless racers looking to exploit anything and everything that will help them win. I don't think there is some moral high ground.

That said, I hate seeing bikes rolling around the track with such huge differences in speeds. Seems like a recipe for disaster but I don't get to tell the FIM or Dorna or any of the racers what to do.

Kelly's dad was banned from the next six MotoAmerica events after New Jersey. Barber was the first and then the first five MotoAmerica race weekends next season. I never read about the penalty applying to anything other than MotoAmerica events.
