Thanks for the thread Kelso :thumbup

First vote in for Magic Mark.
Would it be insane to see Zarco repeat his podium from last year?? Probably but I think a top 10 is likely.

Sure would like to see the APE's show well again.

Not a track suited to the Aprilia's lack of speed out of slow corners. But it seems Sepang usually has a few surprises so I guess we have to wait and see.

Borenzo makes an amazing turnaround, wins the race and states that , for once, "the bike and tires were perfect"..

Who am I kidding? Mark for the win.

New Circuit Record for Fabio Quartararo. Quartataro and Morbidelli first and second in FP1 for Petronas SRT Yamaha.

Loved this quote from MotoMatters... during FP2 other riders chased lap times on fresh rubber trying to win Friday practice while Marquez was getting ready for Sunday.

"Meanwhile, Marquez showed extreme fondness for used tyres, staying on a medium front – soft rear combination throughout the session and having solid pace on it."

I wonder how soon Fabio will change his M.O. and start copying MM, no longer focusing on lap records. Fabio's end of race pace hasn't been as good as MM yet, hasn't been enough to win. this suggests he needs to spend more time on used tires.

He might still be working on base setups for each track since this is his first season and he had no prior data to fall back to.

Really good show by Fabio.

JLo seems to have woken up a bit. Must be because of the croissant being fast on the Honda..:laughing

The Yamaha's win practice again! :p

Vale's Vale. But Marquez is pretty much the GOAT. I don't know how you could argue against it. If he keeps racing it looks like he's gonna shatter everything. What is he at, 8 titles now, one shy of Vale? He could get 12 easy. And if he doesn't keep racing for whatever reason, gets hurt, gets lactose intolerant, whatever, you'll still know if he had any length of career he would have crushed everything. I mean, that right there is why no one can beat him. And it's no secret. Just literally no one else in the world can do it. They have the blueprint, they know exactly what they need to do, it should be like shooting a free throw, or kicking a field goal. How the fuck can literally no one else get comfortable saving the front? You gotta love his face at the end too...

Hard to argue against that at this point. :hail

Each year will add to all old school fans and racers agreeing.

Play stupid games and win stupid prizes.

WinOrBin really did himself in by being an asshole again messing with Fabio.
Assuming Fabio keeps growing and Yamaha deliver a better bike in 2020, WinOrBin will be dethroned.
