Damn, i didnt realize that Iannone was facing a four year ban! It seems like the WADA get a hard-on for an athlete and just relentlessly go after him, a la Lance Armstrong. This whole situation seems kinda silly.

I think Iannone was given an 18-month suspension but when he appealed the original suspension, WADA said the suspension would be increased to four years if the appeal fails. I probably have the details wrong. scootergmc corrected me last time so he may have the facts.

That's my understanding as well. It's complicated! Will be interesting to see what happens Thursday, but based on what I've heard I will be surprised if the suspension is reduced.

I've always liked Iannone even though he really tries your patience with his motivation and the fact he seems to be more interested in being a model than a rider. But, with Cal & Dovi still un-signed for next year, at least one of those problems will be solved if Iannone can't ride.

Whatever that means
If AM won would have been the first time the winners name did not appear in the poll. The rookie rode really well.

AK CHU ALL EEEEE :nerd The Bruno race didn't have Brad Binder as an option. I only remember because I pointed it out in the thread.

Speedweek is reporting this "rumor of the day." Joe Roberts is moving to the ItalTrans Moto2 team next year (not officially confirmed) so there is speculation Cam would join the American Racing Moto2 team. There have also been reports about the American Racing team having money problems but that mostly seem to speculation based on which sponsor logos have appeared on the bikes at various times this season.

Beubier to WSBK makes sense because some a manufacturer might want another American in the series. Beaubier on a Moto2 bike doesn't sell any product for anyone and there is likely no paycheck so it doesn't make much sense. My speculation is usually wrong so I don't know what will happen.
