I read Zarco replacing Taka for the last three races. And somehow that means Yamaha immediately stops pursuing him for a test rider role, because.....fuck Honda? It's never explained. I just heard the announcers in FP3 basically espousing this as conventional wisdom. But of course they won't touch him now. Um, why? Wouldn't him riding the Honda those 3 races make him even more desirable as a test rider next year?

It's like everyone just takes it as a given and perfectly obvious that Yamaha would behave like some machismo prize fighter that would never deign to take sloppy seconds from the other guy. "What? You're riding Taka's Honda for the last three? You're dead to me Johann."

It just makes no sense to me.

Márquez finally breaks his Motegi pole duck. Pleased to see Morbidelli get a leg up on teammate Quartararo after chasing him all season. Razlan Razali is on cloud 11 1/2 no doubt. Hope Nakagami makes it through the weekend without aggravating his shoulder injury. Grip levels seem to be good; people dragging everything but their bar ends - makes for stirring stills.
Quartararo FTW. To those 2 others who thought likewise so far: think fast thoughts.
Mechanic cams are fascinating.

Not as fast as I look.
I guess I don't have to worry about MM getting another BMW, anymore. One more check in his growing record book.

This kid is going to be in MotoGP one day and the Marquez brothers are going to embarrass the hell out of the Espargaro brothers.

Good show by the SRT Yamaha guys.

MM is the MMMMAN! :wow

A crazy save by AM. :thumbup
Loved Simon's Randy Mamola's save of the year comment. :laughing

Dani's stoppie was an epic moment for sure.

Rossi 10th... :jaded

Really wanted to see Nakagami in Q2. :jaded

Marquez is not dominant on this track so we could see a good race.
Crutchslow finished second last year and with 3 Yamaha's ahead of him I really hope we see a good battle up front.

The main problem with Suzuka is they literally don't have the room to move walls out and add larger run off areas to be approved by the FIM. It's essentially the same as Sears at turn 10 with the walls and hwy 121 right on the other side.

What a good. Night of moto racing on the tube. (If you have BEIN). SX and MotoGP. :banana

The race was not great. Results kind of anticipated.

Still. Fun.

Fabio Rookie of the Year. :thumbup
Good season for sure.

Happened to be up when the race came on, was laying in bed watching on my phone. I decided if MM broke away in the first couple laps, I'd go to sleep.

I think I fell asleep by the second, maybe third, lap and not much changed from the order at that point, to reading the results this morning.

Battle for third was worth watching for part of the race. I liked seeing Morbidelli not taking any shit off Miller.

Moto3 and Moto2 had plenty of excitement.

Watched laps 1 and 19. That was it. Heres to hoping for better competition from the manufacturers next year.

Luthi, why you so mean to me?

Indeed. Moto2 and Moto3 were good. Little Marquez was really fighting the slide, so that save in practice wasn't all about the weather, it seems.

The battle for third was good. Yamaha needs more h.p. in MotoGP. when fighting the Ducati. They still continue to fill the top spots .... other than Marc's of course.

I want to hear Honda tell MM it’s the bike, not the rider.:laughing
Repost. :laughing That will just get him a couple more Championships on someone else's bike, if history is any indication.
