We have a rental car but I'm wondering if it's best to find a shuttle to the track instead of driving in?

We never found one... we usually headed to the Hilton by the airport for brekkie. If you get there early then teams will be mulling about.

There is a toll road to get to COTA but you can avoid it.. I have to look at a map to figure it out. It is not hard and bonus you go by a prison. :laughing

Getting in and out is not to bad.. a breeze compared to Laguna.
A lot of walking to be expected.

they just canceld SXSW in austin so be wary of investing too much for COTA, my guess is it aint happening

I understand that many of the big bands pulled out so that is likely the route cause.

However I agree that being mindful of a cancellation is wise.

the mayor cancelled it. like the previous cancelations, its mostly outta dornas hands.

Murmurs that it will be cancelled and perhaps replaced by a round at Indy later. Uncini made some comments on if Indy could be homologated. The only later open period for COTA is apparently in the middle of the summer and it is assumed the weather means that is a nonstarter.

The city announced that large gatherings are banned in Austin until May 1st, so Motogp is probably cancelled as well.
