MotoGP @ COTA

Plane tickets..check, race tickets...check, hotel reservations...check! My wife and I are headed to Austin in April. This will be our first trip to COTA. What moto related events in the area should I know about? How about any non-moto must see/do?

I hope you git the pit pass... It's the best spot IMO.
I bumped into Kevin and Guy among others through the last race in COTA.
Tons of party going on in and around town!
That place is huge, make sure you got good walking shoes!

My favorite spot for General Admission is on the top of the hill on T1 or along the S's around T4

I found a place called Candlewood Suites in South Austin. They're about 10 miles from COTA.

Tuono Joice, FastEd & I enjoyed T12 grandstands, IIRC (could’ve also been T15, dunno) - front straight is behind you while you look w-a-y down the previous, wavy “straight” with the bikes coming toward you, braking, then disappearing

I heard that they are filling in the double jumps and using tabletop jumps for safety.
