The city announced that large gatherings are banned in Austin until May 1st, so Motogp is probably cancelled as well.

Considering the land around and including COTA was annexed by the city of Austin several years ago, this restriction on public gatherings would seem to apply to the track. Thats is, unless the track qualifies for one of the exceptions mentioned in kelsodeez's link.

Well we're still going to Texas anyways. It was going to be a multi stop trip for us. COTA for a few days and then a drive over to Dallas to visit relatives and visit the Dallas Cowboys Stadium ( my wife is a HUGE fan). But now we'll change our focus and spend a few days exploring Austin and going to see the Alamo before heading to Dallas. The other thing that sucks is that for the week we're in Dallas to check out the Stadium they're closing access to the field! There's a concert the following week so they have to prep the field for it. But now I'm wondering if they'll cancel the concert....hmmm

Not as fast as I look.
As long as it's not too cold, I am very pleased with the change. I will assume that if everyone does what is right, the virus will be controlled long before this November date. Tickets were transferred, new reservations, life is good for this racing junkie. :ride

Unless the Virus goes nuts I will be in the San Antonio area, my daughter lives in Schertz. Thought about the GP, but really wanted to see the Handbuilt Motorcycle show. No word if it will be canceled. There are also two motorcycle museums I was going to check out. Hill Country Motorheads and Lone Star Motorcycle Museum.

If you are driving watch for a 2005 Tundra with a Four Wheel Camper on it.
