If I could just ignore his comments, things would be fine, however, the entire discussion gets off-track because it annoys enough people that someone will argue in response (typically, someone who hasn't already seen the same diagrams several times before).

It's really just kevin. :laughing

I don't think anybody is going to say shit about that while Gorilla Grodd is topping the timesheet.

what about pedro's size advantage?

Small physical size is a weight advantage but the trade off penalty is
a smaller aerodynamic curved profile down the straights and less arm
leverage strength during maneuvers... so technically speaking its a
1/3 advantage and 2/3 disadvantage...

Great post, I'd also add in greater chance of injury during a fall

since all the riders on the same bike, regardless of size, end up sliding their ass back into about the same spot on the seat, id argue that Marco's extra size is of very very little help here. also, since there is no possible way that his shoulders are as low as Pedrosa's, his taller/thicker profile will create a larger wake, which cannot be offset by your previous point. the only situation where you can get less drag out of more frontal area is when comparing objects of dissimilar length, which isnt the case here. if we combine all these aero-effects, its def a loss for larger riders.

last year, Marco had to get Honda to make some modification to his fairings so that he could tuck his elbows in better to get them out of the air. his shoulders still stick out quite a bit, both up and out.

Hmm... Pedro routinely records the highest top speeds and... has led many GPs from start to finish, at blistering speeds, including Laguna Seca recently, one of the most physically demanding tracks on the circuit... hmm, more troubled logic being pandered about teh MotoGP threads. :twofinger

Routinely the less weight a bike carries quicker it will accelerate... but weight
does not effect top speed... aerodynamic drag does... V4s routinely records the highest
top speeds because they have the advantage of less aerodynamic drag and less main
bearing drag than an I4...

house is a person who posted here A LOT(you may have noticed I also referred to him a lot durring our sparringt), and primarrily focused on talking about shrinking riders and xenophibic rant about spanmish riders lol

but the incredible shrinking riders(along with the donra consipracy of apparently changing their stats) were his main goal
