Not that it will ever happen...But..."motorcycle" doesn't mean dick...If they would say what kind of motorcycle...it would be information.

Course the down side would be a prevalent type like a SuperMoto...would become more popular with runners.

According to the Santa Maria police officer that stopped me last week, a lot of people run from them. What "a lot" is, I'm not sure. But he thanked me for not running and let me slide.

Whoa, no kidding? :wtf

"Thanks for not robbing this bank sir, we get a lot of that around here, here, have a Benjamin."

If it wasn't a serious infraction to begin with, I've heard of this happening fairly often. Almost like they're so shocked that the rider stopped that they decide to let it slide. I promise you, though, if the reason for the stop was something like reckless driving or such, they wouldn't let the rider off just cuz they stopped.

Apparently riders running from the cops is an all to common occurrence, and it's one that upsets me as a rider.

Cloverdale's a real tiny city. Surprised he got away.

tiny city just means he was able to quickly go offroad into a vineyard or an oak covered hillside

probably a local kid who knows were all the fences and the open gates are

if you get breaks when you DO stop then you should be thankful. If no one ran they would not feel the same way when stopping you. So as long as they keep getting away and not crashing it sounds like a pretty good situation to me.

I've heard the same thing from LEOs multiple times but have no idea what "a lot" is. :dunno

That and "I was waiting for you to run" and a couple of get out of jails free for not taking off.

There is lots of vineyard property to cut through and a few levee roads to take to get away. So no surprise he got away. I wonder if the Sonoma Sheriff Dirtbike cops will patrol the area for a while now.

I can't tell if you are advocating people running from the cops or not...

A few years ago, a moto rider I know was riding to Tahoe and got popped for evading. His bike has no mirrors and he was listening to music (I think both things are retarded btw). Truth is he never actually ran, he just didn't know the cop was following him for a couple miles.

He got locked up when he did finally stop. The cop did not believe that he wasn't running.

I've never heard this and my first reaction is to always pull over, I've never even considered running. I did get let off the last time I was pulled over but he didn't thank me for it.

Is running getting more common?
