Looking for adventure/dual-sport riding buddy

Easy does it!
I'm thinking about going to Death Valley mid March or April. Trailer in/out (sierra passes will be closed, most likely, so have to go around). The first and last nights at a motel somewhere north of DV (Big Pine?), with a three days (two nights) all-dirt loop around DV with camping. I'm working on the maps based on two different <GPS Kevin> Badwater 500 maps. Have a few books, tracks, maps and other info.

I'll be on my EXC-F 500 (only plated bikes allowed in DV)

Not sure about the dates yet - few considerations:
1) I just changed jobs - have to settle in first to get a couple days off. Unless I convince my boss to ride with me. ;-)
2) Have to plan around ADV Noob rally - DV will be crowded.
3) Family plans might interfere, especially around spring break.
4) Weather. Might be already hot in mid-April. Might be a good thing actually - less crap to carry.

I'm in. I'd love to do the lost coast on the Beta again.
Panoche is closed to motorcycles :mad

I'm also interested in the CA, OR rides. I do Death Valley about every year on whatever bike I own (KTM 990 right now). Its a fairly mild winter and was planning to go up in the next month or two (depending on holiday time). Buddy just did the/a Oregon BCDR a couple months ago and I could get his maps and notes fyi.

I'm in Oakland.

February/March:

- 3 days Death Valley on KTM (camping Friday - Monday, based on GPS Kevin maps)
 - Interested

- Abandoned railroad tunnels near Donner Lake (KTM or Tenere, done few years back on V-Strom) - Interested

- Oregon BCDR-based loop (custom map) on Tenere or Nevada/Utah BDR on KTM - Interested

The Donner tunnels have been gated for a few years now, probably liability.

Any riding plans for the 4th of July weekend? I'm entertaining an idea of an overnighter with camping...
