Hey guys, been lurking here for a while and kinda in the same boat looking for DS riding buddies. At this point, I don't have a big ADV bike, just a smaller DS bike and more interested in modest paced dirt adventures. I've been hitting Carnagie and Hollister the last couple months sorting the DRZ out and getting used to it after riding nothing but 2 strokes forever.
If you guys do the Knoxville ride in January, I'd love to tag along. Also, I'm doing the Ridge Runners DS deal on NYD.
I live in Pleasanton and my office is in San Ramon, so in the same neighborhood as you are.
Experience wise, I rode street bikes as a kid but lost interest in them for a bunch of years. Got into off road riding and enduros a bunch of years ago. All my riding buddies "aged out" or moved on to other hobbies so looking for a new bunch to ride with.

I’m in Alamo. PM sent.

This thread reminded me a little bit of this next door post my wife sent me a while ago. “We could be ripping right now!” lol

Yep! Great to meet you, Bruno! Thank you for showing me those back roads. Nantucket is such a gem!

Too bad you didn't post this a year or two back, when I still lived in the Bay Area with one adventure bike and one dual sport.

If any of you want to try the Idaho BDR, get in touch with me. I hope to ride it this summer.

Dude, I might be heading out there. Wouldn't mind a ride on the IBDR. I picked up a 1090R 15 months ago. Will be using it going to Nova Scotia

I'm also interested in the CA, OR rides. I do Death Valley about every year on whatever bike I own (KTM 990 right now). Its a fairly mild winter and was planning to go up in the next month or two (depending on holiday time). Buddy just did the/a Oregon BCDR a couple months ago and I could get his maps and notes fyi.

I'm in Oakland.

February/March:

- 3 days Death Valley on KTM (camping Friday - Monday, based on GPS Kevin maps)
 - Interested

- Abandoned railroad tunnels near Donner Lake (KTM or Tenere, done few years back on V-Strom) - Interested

- Oregon BCDR-based loop (custom map) on Tenere or Nevada/Utah BDR on KTM - Interested

I am located in orinda. I would be interested in any kind of adv/ds ride including camping. I ride a 1200gsa but also have a g650xcountry for tighter terrain and a ktm450 for day rides. Would love to connect.
