Let me get this straight: Lightning has three new models, the Strike AND two entry level motos?! Why don't they say anything about this stuff? They have dang near zilch on their website. Or was this event the model reveal?

Nah they have the LS-218 and Strike. Supposedly they are working on a smaller motorcycle but they didn't give any details on it. All I can say for around $13k they are going to sell like hotcakes if the specs are close to what they say because this is the only sport electric motorcycle besides the Ego I guess and that's $20k+. The pictures you see are kind of like their museum, past projects to the most current models.

The event was so you could see the bikes in person I guess they had a question and answer session (I wish I asked more questions) also where you could ask Richard Hatfield about the bike.

But he talked about aerodynamics and that's one thing I think electric bikes have been lacking is decent aero, they're mostly naked bikes. These bikes look like the'll cut through the wind like a bullet.

Was a fun event despite the heat. Great food, good people, cool bikes.

Totally failed the slow races.

Won the raffle, but only because everyone else just left by that point. I think my name was 4th or 5th that was called. Ya'll missed out!

I wish they showed the bikes more. At least let us hear it ride by or something, or let us sit on it. The CEO was pretty secretive about plans and specs too which I found to be somewhat of a turn-off. Kind of odd for a company that is looking for new customers.

I don't think there is even a video out there in existence of the Strike actually working. Assuming that deliveries were supposed to start this month, that's pretty underwhelming.

Yeah I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to see the bike function. It looks legit though but yeah when I don't want to plop down some cash on something I've never seen run or demo'd yet. If the specs are close to what they claim though it'll be sweet.

Had we asked, I’ll bet Rich would have had Shawn do some wheelies for us. He is one their developmental guys with much background in battery tech. And moto racing cred.

And I rode the blue one around the block many weeks ago.
