Electric Bike Slow race

Lightning offered up some equipment for the slow race.
So all participants will be on a similar machine.

I am hoping we can do match races and then declare an overall slow mothershutyourmouth.

Slow racing starts at 1:45 PM and ends at 2:45 PM so if you want in be there!

When I was at the shop the bike that Carlin Dunne rode to victory was there. I think I touched it.

I'll confirm it will be there for the BARF Lightning Style event in a couple weeks.

You are correct. I was at Lightning yesterday and indeed that epic motorcycle is currently at the Peterson museum.

They have some reall cool pics. And stories. Just ask Rich. I think they started doing runs every morning at 4 am.

Edit: Carlin Dunne broke all sorts of records on a Lightning in 2013, or something, I think. Dude was epic fast.

It is going to be warm. Summer I guess.

I have never been there and I am looking forward to seeing it. Lightning still being on the rise is a tribute to the effort of many. I think the Strike is their play to stay, prosper, move forward and be a company that will still be in the game for decades to come.

I am looking forward to checking it out and seeing the bad ass LS-218. I have not seen it in person and :drool over the pics.

I will ask tomorrow if there is a “LMS - Attack” in the future.
LaMultiStrada except electric and with Bitchen components for an old man like me to kick some road ass on Attack because that is how I love to ride will ever come to be?

As a (former) Zero tech I have a few questions...
- what battery tech is used? molli-cell stacks? Plate technology?
- What voltage does the bike operate at? Which charging stations are compatible?
- What are the motor and controller specs? (torque & HP)
- Is regen variable and selectable?
- At what SOC does the bike start restricting power to safeguard the batteries?
- What suspension is used? Is it adjustable?
- Will the new bike have Traction Control, ABS or other computer controlled "safety" features? Will they be selectable?

I'll see if I can make it over this afternoon.

That was pretty cool, even with higher than my requested ambient temperature exceeded. Indoor seating and good shading made it... cool.

Boosted Boards was way fun. https://boostedboards.com Waaaay fun. I rode the short board, the long board and the scooter. Really nice fun solid functional products. I approve.

Two Wheel Safety Training folks https://2wheelsafety.com were so wonderful, and they brought the CHP with them, who could not ride as well as the BARFers entered in the slow race. But hey, the CHP still rocks. It was prolly the boots that compromised his performance. Not good for going slow...
