Hey Liam,

Thanks for posting up. Do you REALLY want to get back to "race weight"? Nah!! Didn't think about it.....but yeah.....what a transition you're having to make. Look forward to seeing you at the Ace.....or elsewhere.

Cheers!

Interesting place, I was there in Barcelona for a week, Really nice place.
I took a plane from Brussels to Girona and drove like 1hr 30 minutes to Barcelona. I loved all their food.

Hey Liam, I just noticed in the FP1 video that Pramac was using a Formula 1 style engine starter shaft, that they inserted into the side of the fairing to start the engine. Is this common? I've always seen the rear wheel spinning-starter, but never one like this in MotoGP.

It's wasn't really common, as pointed out in Curt's '05 GSVR photo, but all the Ducati's are using this method since the advent of the carbon chassis on the GP9. That means 7 bikes on the grid are started this way now. Personally, I prefer the old style rear wheel spinning starters, less chance of something going wrong inside the engine and potentially injuring the starter person.
