I think it's a "tool for the job" kind of thing. For mx, you can't beat a 4t 450 mx'er. For rocky technical climbs, you can't beat a 250/300 trail oriented smoker.

I borrowed a 2T and liked it for how nimble it felt. Too bad my left hand gets tired quickly if I have to use the left lever a lot.

Yeah, this is the only thing I'm worried about. I already have issues with the tendons in my left arm - closest description seems to be golfer's elbow. Hurts like hell after a ride. I've started using KT Tape and it seems to help.

Leo I had trouble with the cr250 clutch at first but pulled two of the clutch springs and things were much better. I've also considered getting a magura clutch, especially after riding the trials bike which has the easiest clutch ever.

Riding All The Time
I converted to the magura hydraulic clutch on my YZ.
The change in force was pretty much nothing. Maybe nothing at all. But it is way more consistent on long rides. I really like it.
I usually ride it with one finger on the clutch at all times (like my trials bike), and it gets tiring.
I also tried the midwest mountain engineering lever for one ride, but i'm not ready to make that big a change. The MME lever would really help if you have tendonitis.

Moab on my mind
The YZ250 can be tuned so you almost never have to touch the clutch lever, except for the gnarliest terrain. (And then you can get a Rekluse!)

Start with buying OaklandF4i's low-end pipe. Change the ignition timing. Modify the head.

My YZ250 makes better low end than my WR450F.

Never heard of MME before. Thanks for that tip!

I've already retarded the timing and have a line on a stock expansion chamber, which is reportedly an even better setup for low end torque. So far I'm pretty impressed with the amount low end pull of the YZ. I think my tendonitis has more to do with the pounding of the stiff fork than clutch pull, since I don't touch the clutch much after getting it rolling. Still playing with the clickers, oil weight and volume to soften it up some.

I like your pink shirt at the 5 min mark and your hopeful expression + fingers crossed before kicking :D oh and the general build was pretty cool too.
