Looks like Kawi is bringing back the 636. I loved my old 636 next to my zx10 the best bike I have ever had.

asphalt and rubber found some filed epa paper work for a 2013 636 Kawasaki. EPA documents show it listed as a 129hp bike.
Some spy shots of the new ninja from mcn

Loved the 636, but just seems weird to have two models 37cc apart (isn't that why the stopped production in the first place?).

according to the article there hasn't been any paper work about a 599/600 cc ninja. Maybe the only zx6 they will offer is the 636?

Which could mean no supersport racing. That would be ironic as it looks like Kawi could very well pick up it's first world ss championship since 2001.

I'd love to see it back. But, Kawasaki must improve the looks of that ugly ducklng. Damn thing has a face that would make a train take a dirt path.

I miss my 05 636... People don't realize that that extra 37cc actually makes a noticeable difference between a buzzy high revving track bike on the street, and a 600 that is actually pleasant to ride on the street. Wherever they devote that extra displacement, in the 05 636 they put ALL the extra CCs devoted to the low end grunt. It helped a lot to make it a much more friendly street bike. Which is exactly why I think they're reintroducing it... if they actually are...
