Well, if we're doing travel tales.... Traveled by train to East Berlin in 61 when the wall was going up. We stopped at the East German border, with strict instructions to not open windows as things were tense, to say the least. So I opened a window and had a chat in Russian with a 17 year soldier. We ended up swapping watches. He said he fucking hated East Germany, the Germans, and wanted to go home.....In Berlin I hopped on a section of newly built wall and flipped off the Grepos. That was probably one of the stupider things i have done in my life. 27 years later I was back and managed to get arrested in East Berlin for suspicion of currency smuggling. That was fun.

As usual, you have a way of making me feel like I need to do more with my life.

I think you've had a few adventures. Nobody needs to sit in a holding cell in East Berlin and wonder when or if they are going to be released.

Nobody needs to, but if you survive, it makes for a great story. :teeth
