All camera system had been tested 24 hours before shipping, once the issue happened, just work together to see what is wrong indeed and get the solution.

Motorcycle has far tough condition than car for the camera system, like unstable power supply, the EMI, that impacts the camera system to work properly. Let's check what is the root cause of the issue.

I don't care how many people are able to get it to work, the unit sent to me doesn't work on my motorcycle. It's not a twin engine, it's a Triple, but that shouldn't matter - the unit should be shielded from RF and the cables should also be shielded from RF.

How else is the cable going to run? It HAS to go past the engine at some point unless I run the cable above the tank. And I don't think that will even fix the problem. Should I make a cable suspension that keeps the cable a meter above the bike so it doesn't have to deal with any pesky interference?

I also don't have time to screw around with your kit to help you diagnose your design problems. I've tried RF chokes. I use YOUR power distribution unit. What else am I supposed to do? Unless you have a new RF shielded unit with RF shielded cables to send me, then I don't think there's a way to make it work.

I think it's pretty clear you guys spent absolutely no effort testing this on a wide range of motorcycles.

You can't take a camera system designed for a car, change a few bits and bobs and call it a motorcycle specific system. It has to be able to work on all motorcycles regardless of what the RF interference is like. They are, as you say, a hostile environment for electronics.

Don't get me started on the actual recording unit. There's no way it would survive long term use - it doesn't come in a case that protects it from dust, so eventually that's going to kill it, too.

These cameras are junk

Wouldn't trust it..if you got hit by a car probably wouldn't record it..

I have 2 of his first cameras sitting here in a box never worked from day one..

Customer service is bullshit...

I ended up buying a GoPro ..1000% better camera

Isn't this area of the forum for reviews? Meaning a place for customers to review things they buy. Not a place for a manufacturer or retailer to advertise under the guise of reviews. Rock if you want to advertise on BARF then you need to contact Budman, get his permission, and become a sponsor.

How many people on barf have bought these cameras from him and they work...

Every time someone asks him about the camera not working ..he posts pics of other bikes with cameras instead of answering questions...

The boss of the site should pulled this ad..since he don't even pay sponsor fees...

Waste of money cameras..

So-o-o-o-o . . . . .

nothin' on that sheilded cable idea? :wtf

I really wanted to buy one for each bike and a double for the truck so I could cover it for 360. I even considered doubling for the bikes to get 360 on them too.

Since I haven't gotten any responce to my reasonable question over the last year I won't be buying any of that.

Rock, so long and thanks for none of the fish. :ride

Some one just asked about using sheilded cables. I also asked about using sheilded cables quite a while ago but I still haven't seen an answer to that question so . . . .

You clearly know EMI is an issue for your motorcycle video camera system so have you considered using shielded cables?

The K1 video cable already has been shielded.

Whatever, we are using the improved video cable on the C5, so far the feedback is good.

Please trust that we are communicating with riders from worldwide, and keep improvement. our ambition is to make the best and reliable motorcycle camera system to protect motorcycling and record fun on the way.

Oh, finally, found it.

So you bought a bunch of these and basically sell it as a motorcycle dvr.

Oh but yeah you made a little plastic piece to hold the cables steady. Good job.

The fact that it just happens to work for a bunch of people is not evidence that you spent any time making sure it would work on any motorcycle.

We've decided to close the thread at this time.

While we appreciate the members loyalty to BARF, we ask you to understand that there are things taking place behind the scenes.

You guys are aware that Rock Liu was a sponsor right? The choice to no longer maintain his sponsorship was mutual.
