INNOVV K1 2CH Full HD Motorycle Recording System

Hi Innovv, I have been in the market for a good dual camera set up for my bike after an accident tore my bike apart and I was unable to find the guy who did it after he ran. The snake lenses are a stroke of genius and exactly what I'm looking for, however, I was hoping to find a dual set up to cover both front and back. I was wondering if there were any plans to add a dual lens camera to the line up. You offer a product that is exactly what bikers are looking for, no useless frills like a screen I'll never use. Just 2 waterproof lens I can mount where I need, and a camera I can mount under the seat which provides all the security, safety from impact, and water protection we need. The only thing more I could ask for is a dual lens hub to stream line a dual set up like I am planning. Truth be told, I will probably buy 2 singles if there is no plan to create a dual lens set up and just replace the hub if an upgrade is ever made. I appreciate any incite with your future plans for this product. Thank You, Chad Carrone

We received many messages asked for dual motorcycle recording system, and now we are working on this new development and would like to discuss with inmates about features and specifications.

The new development has a recording unit with a 2.7" screen for easy setting, live recording review, and two wired lenses, a wired recording control button, GPS is an optional.

The first question is what is the length of front lens, and what length is the rear lens?

The C3 lens cable is 1.5m.

This will vary depending on where people are able to mount their recording units. A few thoughts:

1. Is the screen really necessary? The one thing I like about the C3 is the small size and that I can just hide the recording unit underneath my seat. With such a large screen, this will make the recording unit quite a bit bigger, and with the limited space underneath a lot of seats, it would be a deal breaker for me. Maybe make the screen removable? Or make it an optional accessory? :dunno

2. The length of the cable will vary depending on where people are able to mount their recording units. It might be a good idea to start offering different lengths of cable, the 1.5m cable is almost perfect for my motorcycle to connect the lens from the front to underneath the seat. But if I were connecting a second lens, I'd want a 0.75m cable since I would be putting the recording unit under my seat, and thus closer to the rear of the bike.

Like I mentioned, space underneath the seat is limited on most motorcycles. So excess cable is not desirable. I am using a cut down power cable (Thanks, Willy!) because the one provided with the C3 had so much excess that I could not fit it under the seat.

I recently purchased a second C3 from the last group buy, but have not been able to install it, as I haven't been able to figure out where to put the recording unit yet. A dual input recording unit that is close in size to the C3 would solve that issue. :)

Hope this helps.

You should give the new unit for free to the people who bought the shitty last camera

I won't be buying anymore cameras from you ever again.
Total rip off,unsafe camera

I have 2 units from him,one to replace the broken first one and that don't work

I'll give him both cameras back and he can give me this new unit and pay the posting for the 2 pieces of shit I got from him
That's the proper way to look after customers..

We paid him to test his junk cameras ..we should get the new units for free

I'm sure he won't do it,but he has the cheek to talk about a new camera he's bringing out

I too have a non-working Innovv C3. Successfully update to the latest firmware, but most of my files end up corrupt or with frozen video, but active sound.

Also, the USB port on the rear (or possibly the cable) has gone bad and doesn't make a very positive connection. This is a very weak point for the entire system as that smaller-than-micro USB connector is non-standard and has a very weak connection. If you wiggle it side to side while plugged in the port, it loses connection. Unacceptable for a dash cam meant for motorcycles.

I would highly recommend against buying this product until they fix some major hardware and software issues. I feel mostly the same as Budgie about us being alpha testers for these products.

If anyone local is having a problem with their C3 just send me a Pm and I can probably sort it out for you with either a reflash of software or swapping out bad parts.

To those that I've offered help to before that just seem to want to complain :twofinger, the offer still stands

This is not a business for me but when I did the group buy I had them send me some extra parts just in case there were warranty issues just don't expect me to pay for the shipping back and forth if you don't want to stop by or meet up :thumbup

You did offer to help me before with the first unit.but fuck me the second unit was broke as well..3rd unit time kinda like flogging a dead horse.
Plus both units my computer couldn't even find the drives or could update the firm ware on them..

I work 6 days a week you think I have time to go to Richmond after work or on my day off..

It's a cheap ass camera with cheap ass Chinese parts..I'll take my $126 back and he can have these 2 pieces of shit back..

I had a problem with a "bad lens" and Willy swapped it out for me no problem.
Willy is a stand up guy :thumbup

Same here... he even helped me figure out how to make it easier to get the camera running off the bike's battery. :)

FWIW, my C3 managed to get a 500 mile ride without a hiccup. It also managed to take all the abuse of the riding, rain and all during the Spring Rally like a champ.

Its unfortunate that the others are experiencing quite a few issues with it.

I've got over 10k miles on my unit and it works >99% of the time. There are some weird quirks but once you figure them out, they're easily avoidable.

The current 1.5 meter long cable is just long enough for me to route the front camera between the forks, along the frame, and under the seat. I think that's a good length since I tuck the wiring pretty well hidden along the frame. Rear camera would probably be the same routing, so 1.5 meters as well.

BARFers wanted GoPro or Contour quality at Chinese prices.

:loco

I own a GoPro...and a Contour...and a Drift HD...and a Sena Prism. What I wanted was a dash cam. Lots of Chinese companies make them and most work just fine (including my Chinese GoPro knockoff). The Innovv has a ton of potential, just needs some revision to get some of the big problems fixed. Hopefully Rock Liu here follows through on his promises to listen to us and fix things.

im more pissed that i broke the 360 swivel mount, ordered 2 of them off innovs website

waited like 1 month to get it delivered and get these massive like 4" inch monstrosities instead of the slim 360 swivel clip with tape............

basically when i got those mounts, and the handful of times i plugged it in and it wouldnt record until i pressed on or shutter or w/e, i basically gave up,

i have it like 75% mounted (power and main recorder) and was waiting for the replacement mount for the camera

got those massive mounts and said fukkit, this camera doesnt work 100% of the time and i dont even know where im going to mount this with the fukn incorrect mounts i got..........

FXCLM5

i ordered the ones on the left and got the one on the right

it only looks 2x bigger, but the camera mounts on top of the screw on the right one
vs it mounts inside the carrier on the left one.

i wanted to mount this under my nose fairing above the front fender, obviously the replacement mounts i got eliminate that from happening...... .

and i really dont feel like waiting 1 more month to potentially getting incorrect parts from innov.

This! Willy is not doing this to get rich and for the price you pay neither is Rock. :rofl

After Willy installed my camera I have not had any issues in the months and miles I had it. Granted a lot of the issues could be product defects but some are installation issues. Could the product be better, yes. Would you have paid more for the same product? Maybe not.

I feel the price is right and the company is actually listening to your feedback - something many (if any) "Chinese" companies do not do.
