Man, what an awesome thread!

I spent two days reading it in my free time and it was worth it! What a fun ride tagging along in the thread.

Great job Oliver!

Dude, you just acquired one of the best stories to tell under your belt that some of us can only dream of telling for ourselves (or lie about it :teeth).

I also bet that all the people who throttle tune at every stop light will Race you anywhere. Always keep that for the track the street is for fun not Racing!
Also Hwy 9 is not a race track it is a hwy Why is it that every bike sports car or anything on wheels says thats their race track. RACING IS FOR THE TRACK GOOD ORG. Post Great info

I just read this winner of a thread all over again, as to get some inspiration for the upcoming AFM round.

It seems so easy to quickly dismiss something when you're not actually out there 'doing' it. I have to say; finding another 2-seconds per lap out at a small track like Infineon is no easy task!

One other thing I gathered from this thread is that it seems no matter what Oliver does--and if he's passionate about it, he will exceed!

Oh, he was on the cover of the first AFM round program. I still saved one for him, but haven't had a chance to meet up with him.

This is one of the threads that inspired me to start working towards racing...NRS either next month or the month after and then it's ON for me! See you out there, stan :)

Ride Fast Take Chances
Sweet bro, club racing is the best thing ever. Here's an easy way to experience it:
- Immediately take all your money and burn it.
- Throw yourself off a small 5ft embankment a few times, to simulate those small "learning" mistakes about cold tires in warmup, tires with 18 trackdays on them arent so good, etc.
- Throw your bike off the same 5ft embankment a matching number of times. Take 1000.00 for each time and burn it.
- Around this time, you'll feel like youre "riding right on the edge! OMG ssooo fast!". It is then that you will get lapped.
- Throw yourself off a 20ft embankment. If you survive without breaking anything, immediately burn 700.00 to replace worn race gear.
- Throw your bike off the same 20ft embankment. Burn 5000.00 immediately.
- Sell everything not bolted down.
- Burn the rest
Now youre a club racer! have fun!
