I'm reading "How To Fight". by Thich Naht Hanh. Its about mindful thinking and not physical fighting.

Warning: Do Not Engage
Off topic, have you ever wondered how many 5-year-old kids it would take to bring you down in a fight?

Honestly it totally depends on if they've trained to be coordinated, and have the capacity to take it seriously. If I'm taking them down one at a time then it's different than if they mob me.

Also depends if I can back into a bathroom stall...

30 years ago I was working with nuclear submarine crews to document all of their components (~18k components) and one day five of them jumped me and tried to duct tape me to the rails (They later explained it was an 'initiation'), I was still tournament fighting and had been a high level wrestler and wasn't playing, not knowing what their intentions were. All five got badly bruised, two had fractured arms, they didn't succeed. I wasn't bruised or sore, we did a lot of corte (body toughening) in training.

So, it depends on if you know what you're doing and what threat level you think you're at.

My old boss was stationed in a submarine when he was in the Swedish navy. Their initiation was to tell the new guys that they had to scrub down the inside of the torpedo tubes. Once inside, they shut the doors behind you and start flooding the tubes.

That sounds a lot less painful than trying to attack someone. :teeth.
