Gsxrgirrl Does The Southwest

Tonight we ride
gsxrgirrl, you are my new hero. That's exactly the kind of fabulous road trip possibility that got me into motorcycling!

I've done much of the route you covered (but in a truck), hiked in Peekaboo gulch, and was amazed. It's an amazing corner of the world and you captured it well in your photos.

Can't wait to see your route when you post it!

hey thanks for sharing those beautiful pictures and your wonderful time on the road. I'm envious . It has been a long dream of mine to do a cross country trip. You have re-kindled that dream. Now, it's up to me to make it a reality, right ?

WOW!!! The pics you took are AWESOME!! I want to take my GSXR on a trip like that... a couple of my friends and I did a border to border a few summers back and it was awesome!!

Not as fast as I look.
Beautiful photography. I have been to those places, but I don't think my photos due justice to the true magnificent scenery. Thank you for a wonderful post.

(Plan a slightly larger group next time, (like ME).)

For the time being, just list off the route. I'm dying to see the map too.

Between your thread and this one I'm seriously thinking a long road trip is in order!

Thanks!

gsxrgirrl can conduct a group ride, and she can be the tour guide. Assuming we all pitch in for her service.

Nice! And on a Gixx, sheesh. Love that country.
There is a whole lot of straight line asphalt between the twisties tho... a whole lot. I gotta know, how did your loaded bike handle at 120+ MPH?
;)
Some how when the road extends as far as you can seein a straight line, unbroken by paved crossroads, the wrist just gets heavier and heavier, at least mine does. Much of Texas, any great plains state and the central valley's I5 need to be autobans.
double thumbs up for the photos.
Triple thumbs up for being a girl unafraid to just go for it
When next by Dixon NM (Btw Taos N Santa Fe) stop in at the Lavato Burger trailer / resturant. Get the Lavato Burger. Taste the Lavato Burger. GD Best Burger EVER. Fire roasted chile peppers, big pile of buttered mushrooms, melted swiss cheese... Now I have to spark up the barbie and get my burger on-
Thanks for the inspiration!
Keep riding and writing!:applause

Amazing! The views the places, the ride - how I wish to see my bike against those backdrops !!!

I'm looking forward to see the map of the route as well, and maybe a larger Barf group ride is in order ?

I'm interested in doing such a ride - so anyone sharing the idea - gimme a holler!

And hats off to you gsxrgirrl! for getting together such an awesome ride and going through it!

count me in on the long journey you've requested. I have been itching to this type of scenic ride for sometimes. Just dont have partner to roll with in case of emergency. but ill go solo in automobile.
