across the room?
what nail gun? mine don't have the velocity for that kind of range

A few different types. We've done it with typical 3.5" guns and my brother can unload a ream of staples at you from a flooring side nailer, which takes fucking talent. :dunno

What’s the appeal of thick shirts. They’re not very comfortable.

You are not correct. The fit should be right, so it has to be close fitting, and you need to use cotton so it can breathe, not poly heavy materials. A good heavy well fitting T from natural fibers feels like a layer of extra skin armoring you up. which is the best feeling clothes can offer.

Depends on the weather for me.

duluth is whom i'm referencing in the first post. have a couple of the thick ones and the lighter weight ones. i prefer the lighter weight ones, which are still heavier than most others i've owned. catching the sales hasn't been happening for me unfortunately.

the ugly colors are always on sale :teeth

Disagree. Ive bought thick shirts and end up giving them away or throwing them out cause I almost never wear them. An extra layer of armour doesn’t sound anyway comfortable to me.
I just did a rough inventory and have around 80 shirts yet seem to only wear the same 7-8 thinnest ones cause they’re the most comfortable.

Pact makes a great tshirt as well. Thin and super soft.

I am a marine layer fan boy as well but only their athletic line.

We do not seek the same things. :laughing

What I am looking for in clothes is a way to feel less uncomfortable that I am not wearing leather, steel, and ceramic plates, lol.

Gosh, because I've been worried about our effect on the environment for a long time - so I've been paying way more for my t-shirts for years, because they are made with organic cotton and/or re-cycled polyesters:

This 100% recycled long-sleeved T-shirt is made with 4.8 plastic bottles and 0.3 pounds of cotton scrap, using 96% less water and creating 45% less CO2 than a conventional cotton T-shirt. Fair Trade Certified sewn.

Any of the cheaper shirts are made from un-sustainably grown and harvested cotton. Which has lead in a number of areas to a significant lowering of the water table. For instance in likely the worse case, the Aral Sea Region (Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan):

This. So much this.

OP, spend $20 per shirt on a well-made T-shirt made by companies that take care of their workers than the ones that hire slave labor in third world countries. You may be paying $10 extra but the shirt will last longer and you will not be lining the pockets of mega-corps that operate on exploitation. Preferably buy American.

Old Navy T-shirt guy here. They go on super clearance for like five bucks every now and again -- maybe not completely plain but a baseball T-shirt is close enough for me, and sometimes their performance running shirt line goes down to the $5-7 range too.

Has anyone mentioned the tshirts from Costco? I like their fit (Kirkland brand) and occasionally they carry nice brands as well.

I use the Kirkland Shirts whenever I'm outside, running errands, and just want to wear a plain white shirt and enjoy their first, they tend to run a little roomier.

And I use these CK v-necks as an undershirt (cause sweaty pits) and love how soft they are. They tend to fit a little slimmer.

I like Carhartt most of the time. I don't like the pocket label so the first order of business is to pick the thread and ditch it.
