Some nice colors and materials in this thread

but why would you wear a Nato strap with a suit. : | :dunno

example:
currently I'm wearing a metal bracelet BUT a sports sweater. So? It's metal. Whatever.

Nato straps were worn by people with canvas clothing driving Jeeps??

I don't wear nato straps with suits, I wear them with blazers and chinos and a knit tie, which is business casual on the upper end. I rarely wear suits. I will wear suits only for an awards ceremony, work related banquets or if I'm speaking to a large crowd.

I leave my black shoes only for real formal stuff, usually at night. I bust out black shoes probably once a year at most.

Square toe shoes are the worst.

I also have a big problem with dark shirts and light ties.

I'm down to one pair black shoes and I wear them once a week at most.

Right now I have:
- Allen Edmond Black Park Avenues
- Allen Edmond Burgundy Park Avenues (shell cordovan)
- Allen Edmond Mahogany Monk Strap loafers
- Allen Edmond Mahogany lace ups
- Johnston and Murphy Chukka boots (brown)
- Johnston and Murphy Burgundy (shell cordovan)
- Random blue suede desert boots
- Prada brown lace ups (gift from dad)
- Casual brown moccasin loafers (daily casual wear)

I would be INSANELY overdressed for work in that sort of getup.

I also need to lose about 30lbs before I start getting nicer threads again.

It's easy to still look better than the average shlub in casual clothing with minimal effort. You don't need to "dress up" to look good.

+1!

I found that even rocking a blazer, brown shoes with a matching belt, jeans and a casual knit tie bumps style points 100x over.

A dude on my shuttle rocks a casual tie most days and he looks great. He is also into watches.

I wear a blazer or sports jacket socially all the time.

I dig clothes. Here’s a my tie wall. I’ve added bow ties this school year and they’re in a draywer for now.

I can't stand the standard boring blue shirt and blue suit. It's so easy to add color and pattern.

For my wedding I had a 3 piece burgundy suit made, nothing crazy $$, I used Edochino. Came out ok. Had to have the leaves let out. I've slimmed down a little and need to have the jacket taken in.

I'd love to have a job that allowed me to wear really nice tailored suits to work.

I used to dress decent but after ruining a bunch of decent slacks and shirts, I'm pretty much jeans and clearance rack polos and button ups. There are times when a shirt will last one wear and then it's a rag. Can't tell you how irritating that is when it's a decent shirt.

1/2 office, 1/2 shop; dapper don't work at work.

I'll rock a NATO strap and cool boots any time, anywhere, however. :party
