There is nothing more powerful in fighting cancer than keeping a positive attitude!

You are living that, Jonko, and I'm sure you'll be an inspiration to others who have to go through the same thing you are. You have proven that you are a fighter and someone who LIVES life, that is something that we can all respect!

Thank you for all your words of encouragement. I feel incredibly blessed to have this chance to live deliberately. You guys are a part of what keeps me going and keeps me knowing I'm on the right track.

I'm going to Mugello!

Hey all,

Just wanted to make a quick update. I'm booked for a track event at Mugello at the end of August! It's a three day event, which is hell of alot of tracktime. Otherwise, I will be spending some time in Florence and the surrounding area, and a couple days in Rome. Things are all booked and I am starting to get really excited. If anyone knows anyone in the area, I would love to get in touch. It's always great to meet locals.

I continue to do well and have spent the summer working on my fitness. Lots of soccer and some trackdays and even some dirtbiking. Work has been much better balanced with a much more understanding boss. Cancer seems far away sometimes, and I feel I lose that urgency and motivation to live with appreciation and openness. Writing about and forcing myself to think about it helps. Thanks for indulging me!

Hope everyone had a great 4th!
Jon

Incredible and moving story. Jon, thank you for sharing this with BARF and the world.

It may not pan out to anything but I've reached out to the tour group that we recently used to rent bikes and get an itinerary for our Italy trip. Maybe they will have some contacts.

Mugello was amazing to visit and watch the MotoGP riders on. What a dream to be able to ride it!

Jonko, you are truly an inspiration.

One of my good buddies wife is from Spain, not sure exactly where, but I will see if I can get any contacts close Jerez for you closer to November. Keep fighting the good fight brother!
