DJI, the latest underhanded tech company

It's arelady there and working.

Everytime you log onto the DJI app to fly, it does a background check on current NFZs (no fly zones) If you're in one. you don't even get to manually take off.

Furthermore if you start to fly into an NFZ zone, the device will auto land.

I've read you can buy aftermarket firmware to get around the limitation. I did a quick google search and didn't find it so not sure how accurate that is.

Drones are incredibly annoying in the urban enviornment. You walk out your backdoor with a fenced yard and there's a drone hovering above your back door staring at you. Or you open your garage door and go to back out and a drone drops down level with your rear window and follows you.

I get their cool flying over water falls and nature and such, but its getting way out of hand.

Plus all the reports of them flying over wild fires and having potentially live and property saving aircraft unable to fight fires... I do think there needs to be the ability to add NFZ on the fly, so to speak

You can absolutely agree to waive your right to trial by jury. That term is in almost every professional services engagement agreement.

Haha that ain't no precedent! If you are trying to change terms and conditions, I think you have to overtly advise the other side of the changes.

Contract enforceability usually requires assent, not just notification. I can tell you that by reading this post, you agree to give me all of your money. It only holds water if you agree to it. :)

In the case of the linked article, the bank actually signed the amended agreement.
