Arizona should be warm. If you like aviation, the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson. Titan missile museum is nearby in Sahuarita. :ride

Go down to Bakersfield, around the bottom of the Sierras, then out to Death Valley. Do all of the paved roads there, then head south to Joshua Tree and explore the desert a bit more. Big Bend National Park is a bit too far for one week there and back, but you could always visit Saguaro outside of Tucson.

That would make a good week of desert riding. :cool

You could even continue to Big Bend NP in TX from there.
Here is a photo I took at Big Bend during a hike when I went there last time. That's Mexico across the Rio Grande River:

And be sure to visit the Sonoran Desert Museum on the west side of Tucson.

Old Tucson is just below it.

The west Saguaro Park is mostly unpaved roads. But they are fairly good roads. The best parts is all unpaved.

The east side (east of Tucson) is mostly paved roads. Tucson is between the east and west park. But it is easy to get across Tucson (unlike Phoenix).

My favorite one was always "Roger's Trough Trailhead" east of Apache Junction, off Hwy 60, somewhere about 15 mi of dirt. But most probably not with your wing. The other place is "Seven Springs" campground and further, north of Carefree, similar road conditions as before.

I will be in that area in a couple of weeks. RV Trip with my Zero DS on a cycle ramp on the hitch.

My first longer stop will be Payson, AZ, about 75 miles north of there on AZ Hwy 87. From there to Caste Grande and then Tucson and then to Organ Pipe Cactus Nat'l Monument.

By-passing Phoenix on all my routes.

Organ Pipe has 2 scenic routes: Ajo Mountain Drive and Puerto Blanco Drive, both unpaved but usually graded for a passenger car. Not sure what is open/closed due to illegal border crossings though.

I have been there several times before. I stay in an RV Park (Twin Peaks) and from there I take my Zero DS 6.5. I charge it up from my RV Gasoline Generator.

I have done much of the northern part of Puerto Blanco Drive on my Zero DS, but I have not been to the southern part. This next time, I will visit Quitobaquito Springs.

I have also done a little of Ajo Mountain Drive on my Zero.

I have NOT done the complete loop on either.

I do mostly hiking in the park.

I have never seen any of the areas closed, but I know it was closed for a while around 12 or so years ago. I only see the many signs that there could be illegal activity and if anything is noticed call 9-1-1.

Your days are a little longer than what I would prefer, especially with less daylight that you'll have in December. It doesn't leave you much time to look around the national parks, except Death Valley, that you've given a whole day to.

Other than that, looks good.
