Yesterday in my truck on 101 going around 15 mph. 2 bikes come splitting by doing an estimated 55+ I just don't understand the thinking. One tiny wrong move by them or a car and they are in the ICU.

You're absolutely correct, there is no way they can react in time to avoid a collision if somebody suddenly decides to change lanes at the wrong time. It's simply stupid behavior and they are probably operating under the misconception that if they go one delta and have no close calls, that they can go faster. Stupid thinking.
