Oct 3rd and 7th track day
Oct 8th race
I didn't know they have a race series for Moto at Dixon. I can't go 3rd or 7th. I may have to show up on race Sunday to go racing at the track I've never ridden before. That will be LOL!

Hey guys! I want to go! I have a z125 that I'm itching to get on a track with. Sonoma is closer to me, but I'd be willing to go to Dixon! What does the bike need to have on it to go to a track? I've never been to a track before.

Ps- if anyone would like to go with me (leaving from Santa Rosa) or meet up pm me.

where is this info coming from? I don't see it listed on their website :dunno http://www.kinsmenkartclub.org

I made it all up. No,no joke joke.:teeth

I asked about up coming moto events at Dixon.
This is what I got.

This is new to us. do you have facebook ? I try to post it up there. when we race gates open at 7am, registration starts at 7am,. practice starts at 9am sharp.,Tech is after you register. hope this helps. We want all the safety gear on you as well at your bike. We do not want the asphalt chewed up.
Thanks
Jessie Luther

Now, we have another venue in Bay Area for us , diehard mini moto enthusiasts to ride/ race, Sonoma, Stockton, Atwater and Dixon.
This is wonderful news to us.
Let's give our support to this new club!:thumbup

Your bikes need safety wired.
Sliders, not to mention safety riding gears.
I'm sure you can get a complete info regarding race prep if you do research, let say Stockton regulation book?
Or someone like Darren can direct you, right Darren?

There was a track day at Atwater today and a bunch of Gromulettes showed up.

Like Minoru said we now have four tracks, and it looks like a scene is developing once again!

Does anyone know exactly what I need to do to my Z to take it to Sonoma or Dixon? I'd like to start preparing?

I'm a noob when it comes to any track other than an mx track.

If you want to cover all the bases you'll need to:

Sliders on the front wheel
Sliders on the rear wheel
Sliders on the foot pegs
Sliders on the bar ends

Catch can for fluids, can be one can, lots of folks use two or more

No typical coolent in the system (not an issue for air cooled bikes).

Safety wire all over the bike (this is a real pain in the ass)

In practice tracks aren't so picky these days because no one is going out to the tracks. When they had lots of folks going to the track they could afford to be picky. Today not so much. Still it's nice to have this stuff on your bike (well except the safety wire which is a pain in the ass).

I suspect Sonoma will run motos until 5pm but will be motos only until 2pm at which point they will allow rental karts.

Have you beem to Dixon. Which bike is better suited, 12 inch NSR or 17 RS?

This will be my first visit to Dixon. If you have both types, bring both :p

Most of my experience is with Stockton, being closer to home (hr away). As is Sonoma (+ toll and grid lock traffic on the way home :thumbdown). Atwater is about a 2hr drive. Fun and flowing track :thumbup. I presume Dixon will be about the same travel time for me. Looking forward to riding it :ride Hope to see you (and others) there.

I may have to take care of family business this Sunday. I can always make it up on Monday at Sonoma. That's a good thing.
