Left the light on.

Exactly one T / T as off now. I had to give the bag of sugar shit away so i figured I could deal with one.

Lights going off now.

Pretty respectable night from my neighbors.

I went light on the decorations but had to put out a few.
The neighbors thanked me for showing at least a little spirit.

Had two plans for trick or treaters...

1. RC truck them some treats at the sidewalk and walkie talkie a "Happy Halloween" from the front window.

-or-

2. Tell them "It's a Trick". No treats. This year.

Both plans failed as we didn't get any T or T'ers.
Usually only got a handful anyway.

Did get to play with the Grandkids earlier in the day tho so that was good!

I'll be putting a sign out in front of my house spray painted onto a large piece of cardboard saying "Closed due to Covid". In my neighborhood, the only way to turn off the lights in front is to unscrew the bulbs, and I won't be doing that.
This plan worked. I had zero kids come to my door. We had quite a few running around the neighborhood. I could only get away with this because my wife is off visiting some grandkids in another state.

We went out and walked the neighborhood. Boy loves Halloween and all of the decorations. He is, lucky for us, a hair too young for candy so it worked out great. Lot's of serve yourself options set up and it appeared people were respectful. A couple of "distance" delivery setups as well, chutes and what not. 1 neighbor was serving mourge-aritas.

1 neighbor had a rocking party. Sounded like a few dozen people.

We got invited to a kid parade but passed when we saw over 50 accepts.

I would expect a similar experience next year. We shall see in a few weeks if it causes an impact or not.

Erik changed my life
We had one group of 5 or 6 about 20 minutes before sundown and one group of 7 or 8 about 20 minutes after sundown. I wore a gaiter but otherwise nothing extraordinary.

We now have two big (1 gal?) ziploc bags of fun-size candy. Hopefully I DON'T finish them before Thanksgiving. :laughing

First time I've seen T&T in an RV park.
It was early, before dark, out front on the street, no door banging.
Lots more young kids this year. IBEW has a local here in town, lots of lineman/electricians working refineries/fires.
