Corona Virus a scam?

I'm sure the reasoning behind closing the lake was to discourage dipshits from the city coming up to their lake houses and bringing their filthy corona germs with them.

Turns out joke's on Lake County: their only Covid cases came from an ER doc who moonlights in Lake County but lives in Marin. THAT is what brought Corona to the county...not people using their boats.

There's an easy way to dissuade visitors on the lake: don't give them lake county muscle stickers for their boat. Pretty simple...

Closing parks and beaches is going to backfire. There's only so long you can expect people to sit at home and we're approaching the point of it being too much.
I went to the local park yesterday that was closed to parking but you could walk in on foot and use the trails. It didn't look much different than any other day last year, maybe a 20% less people.
People need to get out of the house for their sanity. I'm not buying it that someone walking past within 3 feet on a trail is much of a risk. Hold your breath for 10 seconds if you're really concerned. Back off on the BS $1000 fines.

Yessss....I also don't understand why everyone sees fit to put their mask on when the leave their house and NEVER remove it. Driving car? Mask on. Walking in an open parking lot near no one? Mask on. Walking down the sidewalk near no one? Mask on. Filming a 3 way with lex steele and Mr Marcus...wait, better have that mask...

When you, Berto, Archimedes and I agree it would seem that the over reach is being noticed more globally than the authorities care to consider.

My friends in Franz Valley who stayed here three months still once in a while have a letter delivered here so using that as an excuse to drive up there in my MX5 with its new FCM suspension to drop it off and chat for a few minutes at 15 feet.

I'll let you all know if I get a $1000 fine! :laughing

The mask does keep people from touching their face, so there is a bit of benefit to wearing it all the time. Though I kinda think of my car like my house, no mask in there, wash hands good when entering and leaving. I try to leave mine on once I am wearing it to remind myself to leave my face alone and not be messing with a snotty mask when I can't wash my hands.

The state closed much of Morro Bay under their sway, for the same reason, tourists.
1/4 mile hike to the rock, shut down rockfish and salmon season to non commercial fishermen, closed a section of main st, all state camping/beaches.
Morro Bay hasn't added to the count since march, still @ 6 cases.

I had to have one on this morning per the rules. It was miserable...Allergies are playing hell with those things on. Talk about having to touch your face...thanks God for my horrible nose. I'd like to kill my nose with fire on most days!

Also have allergies and used to have a job that involved wearing full face respirators a lot, eventually you just come to terms with your face being covered in snot all day.

Couldn't disagree more. When I wear a mask working I'm constantly touching it to adjust it or scratch an itch. Throw in a beard or goatee and it's a nightmare.

At least your touching the mask instead of your snotty nose and drooling mouth. Humans are gross.

But its the same effect. If you touch your face with a mask on and you have the virus on your hands, you're likely going to ingest it. I'd rather have no mask, stay 10 feet away from people and keep my hands off my face, than put a mask on and walk around all day thinking it's doing me some good, when in reality it's probably increasing my chance of getting the virus, a) because I'm touching my face a lot, and b) I have false sense of security that this glorified piece of underwear on my face is actually protecting me.

There's probably a lot of other shit in air besides coronavirus that we shouldn't be breathing. Might be a good habit to get into.

Okay. According to you masks are bad. That's good enough for me. Got it.

I'm wearing n95 masks, so touching the mask still keeps my hands/face isolated. Plus, having a mask on is a good reminder to not touch my face, even if it is itchy.

Even the crappy masks keep you from sneezing snot onto something and leaving it there for someone else to touch. The masks are more about everyone else than the person wearing it.

I don't really have the option of staying outdoors and places no one else will go, so I wear a mask to keep from contaminating the environment I am in and spreading germs to others.

Ah, science.
There is lots of bad stuff out there. That is why we have hair in our noses.

Etcetera.

Anyone who lives near a freeway knows about... er, maybe not. Anyhow, near the highway, everything gets covererd with black shit. That be tyres. You can’t even see the brake pad dust. Or...

Etcetera. The air quality is wonderfully good right now. Enjoy.

N95 masks are an entirely different animal. I'm talking about the underwear masks people are making at home.

And if I'm sneezing snot around, I'm not going to be out and about in the first place.

We've got a handful of N95 masks and a couple of full on respirators. If I ever felt I really was at risk, I'd wear one of those. Absent that, I'm not going to waste my time. Or maybe I'll put a pair of underwear on my head and go grocery shopping, one eye peeking out of the fly...
