I’m not gonna bach minivans. I knew some people with them and they were badass for carrying groups of people to any occasion, as long as the roads are straight

Rolls with it...
I like the S and V60's more, they're a little bit more proportional....

4cyl, turbo'd, supercharged, & hybrid sounds complicated.

The U.S. still gets the Mercedes e63 AMG wagon which I prefer to the Audi. I'm happy enough with my 14 year old Subaru Outback that I can resist the e63 AMG for now. :laughing

Not a fan of the sloping rooflines on all these modern wagons either. Reduces usable space and rear visibility

All the crossovers have the same shit. You can't see a fucking thing out of them either and it completely cuts out the potentially useable space in the back. Also, statistically, people that buy SUVs or crossovers, particularly AWD or 4X4 versions, will never take the vehicle anywhere that actually requires such drive systems in the first place. It's all a gimmick that American buyers simply eat up without delay. My mother lives in a town that's over a mile above sea level. It gets regular snow every year and I've never had any issues getting in or out without even having to engage my 4X4. I've only ever needed the locking rear differential mode and even that disables once you get over 20-25MPH or so.

Some of the places near me will require you to chain up unless you have AWD or 4X4.
Sure more people who buy them don’t need them but since when did need ever become the deciding factor when buying anything. Doesn’t seem to apply when buying 500+HP cars or 200HP bikes or 65” TVs or full size pickups or $1000 phones.......

Meh...AWD systems are almost always heavily biased to the front wheels only. It's the main reason unibody SUVs and "trucks" don't interest me in the slightest. When I really need four wheel drive, especially with low range (which admittedly isn't that often but still...), that's what I want. Not an AWD system. They simply are not the same thing at all. My truck is a 4X4, but I rarely need it.

They’re not the same thing at all. I don’t know if I’ve ever needed 4x4 low range and I haven’t needed a 4x4 much either. That’s why I have AWD, I drive in rain a lot and occasionally have to climb a mountain to go skiing. A 4x4 is not the right tool for the job for my needs but AWD is perfect.

Don’t need those. I got me a sweet AWD crossover

Hey I got one of those!

Slight bonus, my AWD system does the whole torque vectoring thing. So if I actually gave a crap about shuffling that thing around on a twisty road, it actually zips through the turns very confidently.

Nice car but I’m not digging those 2.0 turbos

I’m not happy about it either. I know that on a dyno chart, the turbo 4 has a whole bunch more torque than the old V6. But driving the two different generation RDXs back to back? I sure do like the power delivery and response of the old one a lot better. And the sound is absolutely no comparison.

Hopefully they take their new turbo V6 and cram it under the hood of the RDX in the near future. Irrelevant, since by the time that happens if it even does, I’ll be trading the RDX in for a Bronco.

...which has a 2.3 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. ;) :laughing

Helllll naw. I’ll get the V6.

Besides, the Bronco has a sound enhancer. Natural too, not like the bullshit electronic one in my Acura. After a few thousand miles wear, on the freeway those big 35” tires will make the Bronco sound like all the exterior shots of the plane on the movie Airplane.

Unless Ford answers my prayers and jams the Coyote in there for 2022.
