Yeah. Its hogged out all the time in dentists offices. Bad tooth infections spread to the bone. Yuck bone has to be milled out.

Very vague question but bone is comprised of living cells so you're not going to weld it or forge it. What you lookin to do?

So this is not about him having broken his grandma's ivory figurines?

If its something more serious I hope they can do whatever it is he needs done.

get it while it's easy
Well, can you?

bone density is highly variable. it would be similar to asking a blanket question about how easy it is to machine wood (african teak v. balsa for instance). it can be done, but you need to adjust the speed and cutter. can say based on experience that drilling into bone is one thing - but shaping it into fine detail is something altogether different. there is typically a large amount that goes great right up to the point that it either frays (due to low density) or shatters (due to brittle high density).

Totally unrelated question, but has anyone seen MeanDad? Last time I spoke with him he was on his way to visit Adam....

Ask me about my B-1-D
I was just fabricating a new guitar nut out of oxbone, the sawdust smelled exactly like getting a root canal tastes

I am not sure if this is a real question or some sort of parody I don't get...

but I'll answer honestly. My spine was disassembled and the bones ground down with something akin to an air grinder with a rotary bit.

Think about line honing a block for the crank or fixing the crank end of a connecting rod. Except it wasn't in place, they were parts on the table.

My wheelchair joysticks are made of some chincy garbage plastic that keeps breaking. Was thinking about having something machined out of bone to look all pretty and shit

you want some kind of fake resin material. real bone will get brittle over time, and... break
