Just renewed. Was nice to receive updated stickers & keyring tabs for the kids & cages.

'Had a question on coverage in ID, WA and UT. Calstar site still shows those within the service area, but AirMedJet site does not.

Email to retention team was not concrete in response...

Maybe I'm missing it, but what's the code to renew online? I tried both 10407 and 11380 that are on the pdf form but they don't work on the website.

"Fly U Home" is the fixed wing (jet or turboprop), non-emergent program. It is good in all 48 contiguous states and doesn't involve one's insurance at all. :thumbup

I just talked to Kelsey at the home office. She is sending me Calstar (or something) stickies for my helmets.

I am not carrying a wallet when I ride. Duh.

Kelsey was very helpful.

Stickers are cool! :thumbup

Just know that the presence (or absence) of the sticker (or the membership card) doesn't determine what company is going to fly you on a scene call- it's generally closest available.

yeah, that was much of our discussion. If it is urgent and/or you are unconscious, it's gonna be whatever works. Should this service be called for me it would most likely be at Hollister SVRA or Thunderhill; both places love to give helicopter rides. It seems likely that it will be a bird in network though.

Stickers are good though.

We never heard back about people who are signed up to both Reach and Calstar last year? When I called, they told me to sign up to both and there would be an announcement as to what would happen to my membership to both. So far, I haven't heard anything about that, unless I missed it?

Great question. Those holding a valid REACH or CALSTAR membership were all rolled into the new program for the balance of their one year membership- free.

If you're due for renewal, simply give us a call and let the call taker know your are part of BARF and have those codes in Bud's post above. Be sure to review with them who is listed "under your roof" and just update that with the call taker.

Blue skies & tailwinds!

I just got a call to renew my membership, and reminded me of this thread. I had a membership to both REACH and CALSTAR that I was told to renew both. Apparently, both accounts just went on separately and was never really merged. So I paid for another year of CALSTAR for nothing?

Not at all. Until last September-ish, they were two companies. Thanks for renewing- your are now part of the largest air-medical network in the entire country!

Today's news- the acquisition of AMRG is now complete. This means the network of helicopters is close to 320 ships and presence in some states we weren't in.

Here's what's being added to the AirMedCare Network service areas;

This does not answer my question. I had a membership to both. Does that mean my 2 memberships were just merged as one membership? Basically, I lost my CALSTAR membership when they were bought.

Sorry, I misunderstood what you were asking. I wasn't working here when the merger occurred, so all the info I have is second (third?) hand- give the Membership 800 number a shout and ask them. :thumbup

So CALSTAR/REACH called to remind me of the upcoming renewal.

Things have definitely changed. It's now all business-business, disclaimers "for your state", any questions, what's your credit card number, pay now, etc. Wow. It's still a great deal at $55 per year for the entire household. So it's renewed. But I miss the friendly customer service touch.

BIG news today. CALSTAR's parent company, Air Medical Group Holdings, announced a merger between the helicopter network and AMR Ambulance (a national ground ambulance provider). The deal has been signed and should finalise around the end of the year. No more info just yet, this just got announced this morning.

John,

How about places like Thunderhill Raceway at Willows, CA or Buttonwillow in Bakersfield. Is this covered area?
