Looks like they improved the styling, gauges, maybe vibration too? I like it (I like everything though). BMW might be pricing itself out of the market though with all these Asian bikes coming in.

Unless they've completely revised the ABS, or put an on/off switch on it, I'd wait until the bike's been around a year or two before considering one.

The ABS on the F800ST was hopeless...not that BMW would ever admit it.

Oh yeah, I dig this one! Looks like it'd be a good long-distance commuter. I didn't see a price though?

I wonder if they'll put decent (cartridge) forks on it

for image comparison sake:

I agree with junkie. If they didnt do anything with the front cartridge forks, then there really isnt much difference between the old and new other than styling and slight increase in power (5hp?) and some slight ergos that seems like if you already own one farkled, that it wouldnt matter.

When i saw the pic, my immediate thought "OOO TrADE UP!" but i read everything about it and it seems a bit "ho-hum" - gonna have to test ride it.

my biggest complaint: SHITTY NONADJUSTABLE FRONT SUSPENSION. But that's my problem - been to lazy to get the front and rear swapped out for something nice.

edit: also anyone know the dry weight? i'm wondering if its heavier?

Is yours belt-driven? That would be a big selling point to me, since I freakin hate chain maintenance. On a bike designed for lots of miles, I wouldn't want a chain to have to deal with.

i just called up SJBMW asking about the new f800GT and it was news to them.

bmw just doesnt do a darn thing to tell their dealerships about upcoming models. All he noticed was that the 2013 f800st's were pulled from the lineup.

Yup! exact same as the GT, only difference seems to be slightly more power and different ergos. i'd like to know more but doesnt seem like any local dealerships know a thing about it yet.

Can you fuel it by yourself without getting off the bike? I need quick pit stops.

if your flexible sureeeee?

realistically no - u gotta get off. But if you have a tank bag, u dont have to take that off. avrg's 55mpg. tank is under the seat.

Yup! And a Ninja 650 is like a Honda CBR500 that costs more. Which is like a Ninja 300 that costs more. Which is like a Ninja 250 that costs more. Which is like a used Ninja 250 that costs more. Which is like a bicycle that costs more?
