I didn't take very many pictures because of phone charging issues... that is, Ducati thoughtfully put some powerlet outlets on the sides of the bike, just below the riders seat, which means that when your plug falls out, it lands right on the exhaust collector. Goodbye, $50 two-day-old widget.

Friday I was flying solo. 414 miles, left home at about 6, arrived in Kernville at 4. Big Sur in the early morning was PERFECT. I mean like Saint Peter was going to use it as the driveway to heaven, but people kept on stopping to hang out before reaching the pearly gates because they thought they were there already. There is not a single thing I can think of that could have made those 60 miles any better; beautiful naked ladies waving at me from every corner would have only detracted from the scenery. Yes, it was THAT good. Naci-Ferg was it's normal shitty goaty little self, Chimney Rock/Vineyard/Peachy Canyon were just freakin' peachy, 229 is holyshitballs fun but way to short, 58 was a whole lot of high-speed fun, and the 155 Woody-Glenville GP was the perfect way to cap off the day. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Friday was the best single day of riding I've ever had. Fuck yeah. artyartyarty:ride:ride:ride

Saturday was a planned loop with Freeryde and Machete. I was up at 630, grabbed some breakfast, ready to ride at 730. Hell yes, guys, lets go! Guys? ...Guys....?

OK, maybe I'll just wait around for a bit. Like until 11 or something.

OK, finally ready to ride! Whoo! Short loop, around 160 miles, think it went something like this. Caliente Bodfish to some crazy oil field roads that were like a cross between Mad Max and desert planet from Star Wars. Just wild. Then back up to Woody and the 155 route again. Gotta say, the day's ride was worth the wait. Had a blast just steady zigzagging up the road with our small group.

Sunday. Long Day. 440 miles, almost 11 hours per Gmaps. I was hoping to get an early start; Freeryde and I rolled out of Kernville about 8:45, a bit later than I was hoping, but not bad. CA-190? Awesome. Yokhol? Solid goaty fun. 198 up into Sequoia? Fuck me running unbelievable. We got there at around 11am, and traffic was fairly heavy. No problem, though; if anything, the passing only added to the experience. At Grant Village in Kings Canyon we headed east on 180 into the canyon for about 20 miles then back out and down to Fresno for the quick burn across the valley and onto Little Panoche and Panoche Roads. Great googlymoogly, what shitty little awesome roads those are. Just fuckin' STOMPING it the whole way to 25, then a short freeway blast to arrive back home at 7. If Friday was my best day of riding ever, Sunday is definitely in the short list of honorary mentions. All in all, just an incredible weekend of riding. :teetharty:ridearty:teeth

( I did spend all day yesterday [14hrs+] out & about riding locally : Menresa bakery in Los Gatos in the am, BBQ @ RMC hosted by Rick & Marianne ~ noon, riding with Yana & 1 more friend in the Santa Cruz mountains in the pm with a late afternoon snack at Gayle's on Bay in Capitolla, and capped the day up with dinner & a good flix with our group of 3 at the Pruneyard C7 in Campbell ! )

Some consolation fun but still jelly.
