This thread delivers more than the actual incident (which has probably already evaporated from any non-barfers' consciousness).
Just another SF freak show to prove to the rest of the world, we are all nuts. Left nuts, right nuts and plain nuts.

One fool vs a pack of fools (laying down in the street) and the debate is which is or are the bigger fool(s).

The guy on the bike had had enough, the people lying down on the street obviously had too much.

Dude, cell phones are the new media. Look it up. The rest of the country? You mean the parts where more than half of the people didn't attend college and vote for ideologues whose first political acts undermine their economy and health?

ITT: stunning hypocracy about the conduct of motorcyclists and our community responsibility, tone deafness, blind partisanship, and drunk logic.

Axe, let me explain two things. Let them sink in before responding, lest you paint yourself more foolish. First is what "emotional" means in the context of this thread. Every time you say "I think" you are REALLY saying, at the primal level, I FEEL. All political reasoning begins with an emotional reaction. I have an emotional reaction (as do many others here) to jefftard's aggressive and damaging behavior. Which gets to the second part, to directly address your direct request that I "prove harm": assault, as an actual LEO was kind enough to point out, is the POTENTIAL, through an act, to cause injury, or lead someone to believe in that moment they COULD be injured. Jefftard's riding into a crowd fulfills that standard. Now I know you and others relate to him more than the dirt bike hooligans you castigate the police for not being able to corral, but at least they have to good sense not to double back and taunt the people they obstruct.

Are you gaining an understanding yet?

Yes or no.

now you're just making things up.
you have no idea how I feel:laughing

The answer is no
management would like me to stop posting so I will.
I never should have started but I love politics too much not to.

typical SJW liberal BS.

like north vietnamese and terrorists surrounding their hard targets with civilians and kids. so when a strike happens they can play to the media.

I think motorcyclists hate each other way more than Joe Blow car driver or pedestrian hates motorcyclists.
Unfortunately many douchebag wannabe badasses are drawn to the hobby for the crappy image some give it. Self feeding never ending part of the two wheel lifestyle

kind of true cause everyone but myself rides like a prick.:laughing

'I'm angry and I want everyone to know it, so I'm sitting in the street!'

'WHHHAAAT? Did you see that shit?'

'Look at me! I'm on the news because I sat in the street and that dude tried to kill me for it!!'

Seriously, HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT?

Ok I get your point.:thumbup

It's not free healthcare they want. It's to not get ripped off. We pay more for the exact same service thanks to a terribly put together system.

I don't just play a doctor/cat on the internet. :laughing

the AHCA is horrendous, and "Obamacare" was actually put together by a republican think tank and stolen by the Obama administration to put through with a few added pieces.

I, and almost all other physicians I've talked to even in the conservative area in which I practice, vehemently oppose the AHCA.

i should add: because we're not a direct democracy, we elect representatives who vote on legislature. protest and "town hall meeting" is our only immediate tool to force our elected representatives to maintain their campaign promises.

Also: Which is it? Are liberals violent? or are they passive sissies? The right can't make up its mind. When liberals fight back, they are violent. When they peacefully protest, they are annoying/in the way/sissies.

It's an idiotic double standard.

The motorcycle rider was a douche.
He's going to be enjoyed in prison with those moobs.

a number of my colleagues voted for DT because he might lower our taxes, but the AHCA will hurt doctors and nurses far more than Obamacare did. Obamacare was a poor solution, but it helped physicians do their job.

Sounds like doctors can't make up their mind. Which is it, low taxes or doing your job?

you'd be right.
tough line to straddle :laughing

personally? doing my job.

we tend to make fun of the ones who voted to lower their taxes and are now complaining how miserable their life is going to be now with AHCA.

A lot of good lower taxes are going to be when you're going to not be able to get reimbursed for services provided.

All points aside, whether it's pro or con for protesters, pedestrians, or motorcyclists; it's hard for me to have much understanding or sympathy for whatever purpose he was going for when you're smiling at the camera while getting handcuffed on the ground.

Not that he's asking for any sympathy or even understanding...

The news reports may be biased to some extent but his posts in this thread, ignoring questions whether it's even him posting or a friend using the account, just stink of shit disturber. It's one thing to feel some road rage reacting to something that happens while you're riding or driving but it's another to proactively go out of your way to seek it. Whether these people doing the 'die in' in the middle of the street were right or wrong in regard to their reasons or permit to do so (or lack thereof) doesn't make the shit disturbing action to break it up in that manner any more defensible or okay.

If this was an incident while just riding down the street, coming upon the protest, and deciding to do something, that's one thing. We're human, we do things in the heat of the moment. You don't turn down the wrong way on a one way street, cause a ruckus, and smile for the camera while being arrested unless your purpose was just to be a shit disturber.

The discussion on either side of this has been very interesting for sure in terms of legality and morality but some of you may need to realize that whatever point you're trying to make to justify this act, you're supporting someone who seems to have caused a scene just for the sake of causing a scene and nothing more. The interactions with this person in this very thread are also fanning the flame of shit disturbing. The way some of you speak make it sound like he was the one laying down in the street protesting. That seems to get lost in your effort to be right about your particular point of view.
