How the hell did I miss this! sorry Alan. I'll be there and I think my focus will be getting an agenda for the next board meeting. If members were to know some of the big action items coming, then we could voice our concerns/opinions to a representative, as was suggested, for that BOD meeting.
I know there is no way to completely populate an agenda 2-3 weeks out, because things do come up at the last minute, but if there is a proposed rule change or some other club altering item then members would have a greater chance of finding out about it before the change happened. I have yet to go into a board meeting for work and not know what was to be most of the topics at least 2 weeks in advance. I can't imagine this board operates much different, right?
I would like to see a list of upcoming topics for this "members" meeting. you know just the big stuff (if there is any for the next BOD meeting) for the riders to discuss. the input from the riders compiled and supplied to the BOD meeting. then minutes with the next list of big stuff for the "members" meeting (agenda may be to formal). this would require the "members" meeting to be compiled in about a week and the BOD meeting minutes to be "approved" in about two weeks. clean and efficient! dissemination of information would make this feel more like a club. less like a trackday with formal starts.
I know the BOD volunteered and its time consuming to get all this done. we/I appreciate all the hard work and let us help where we can.
