Was it Yamaha's answer to the Magna V65?

I think the VMax and Magna were closer competitors. The Venture was in the Goldwing/Electraglide arena.

However, Honda and Harley were able to make 900lb bikes manageable. The Venture has a relatively high CG which makes it feels SUPER HEAVY even tho it weighs about the same as a GL or FLH of the same era. Probably one of the heaviest-feeling bikes off the sidestand I've ever felt. That and that Kawasaki 2000cc beast they made. I dunno if they still make that thing or not.

A few US agencies use FF/EMT-P motor units as rapid response teams (for medicals).

It's not about saving lives, its about extending them. The "golden hour" is a goal. Rapid, proper field care may extend that window a lil bit.
