For those interested, the SECOND 2020 planning meet up is next Wednesday at Lanesplitters off University/on San Pablo 6:30PM (out back).

Pizza and beer are brought out in batches but we expect people to chip in cash for what they consume. One of our own is super generous to provide this space and food discounts, so we like to make sure our waitress has a nice tip at the end.

This coming year will differ a bit from prior years but we're not sure exactly how, yet. There has been talk of riding from much more North vs starting mid-Peninsula (BOLA). There's been talk of going to one spot or two spots and doing various day loops from there. None of us know what's going to shake out, if you want to be a part of it, show up. We do close the group around October as the point is for this to be a collaborative effort to organize, not a "join last minute and glom on".

The trip and the group are awesome - the above makes it sound more serious than it is. We always have a great time. 2019 was our most successful year yet with 20+ riders and ZERO injuries or serious mechanicals. We aim for the same in 2020 :ride

The trip dates are:
Thursday (or Friday) January 23/24 - February 2

I'd add to this that there has been talk of different group types this year. In the past it has been all plated thumpers. If you have a big bike, vintage bike whatever feel free to show up and add to the fun. There is serious talk of a vintage group this year, and I'm thinking of possibly bringing my 950 and doing some bike bike routes too. Looking forward to this meeting!

I will not be there again. But let me know if anything gets decided so I can join last minute and glom on.

Hey Brian. I might be going to this if I do not have to fly to LA tomorrow...should know later today....would love to go back to Baja, just have to look at schedule with wife and also will have to give the KLX some love to get ready. I work in Richmond so not too far from office.....

Kalle's making noises about BARF Baja 2020 and taking his truck down ... we won't be at tonight's
meet-up but are planning on maybe the Hawthorne Rally and the next BARF Baja Berkeley meet-up after this one ...

still TBD if we'll do vintage street bikes or KLRs ... :facepalm:laughing

I'd kind of like to do west-of-Catavina camping again,
and won't do that on my '73 Tiger, so we'll see ... :toothless

It was good meeting everyone yesterday...such a chill, down to earth group is always refreshing. Not to mention good beer and pizza. Looking forward to the next one and maybe some riding in too.
Also, a couple of you guys really knew your stuff about the Husky TE610. Would you mind if I pick your brain a bit more about maintenance checks and rebuild thresholds?

Great turn out of almost 20 last night, a lot of regulars plus 3-4 new riders! Thanks for coming out - I'll post the next meet up soon so it can go in your calendars :ride
