Can’t imagine the shitstorm it will be at a CDJR service department when the new Alfa based Grand Cherokee comes out. They better bolster their loaner fleet numbers.
Yea, I don't know anything about making cars. I find them to be an absolute marvel of, well, everything: design, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, marketing...everything.
But you have to wonder why they'd take, honestly, the flagship of the Jeep line: the JGC, and "risk it" on a platform such as this. Jeep is already rather notorious in the reliability department, and this (sounds like) it can only make it worse.
Yet, they do it anyway. As if it's the "only" thing they can do.
Perhaps it is.
Maybe they can leverage this as an opportunity to get better. Maybe making them in Michigan will make them better.
Who knows.
