I hope something does. We're in dire need of correction and beyond drowning in debt. It's just a matter of time before it all comes crashing down.

Meh- wish it would hurry up. I'm sitting on a pile of cash waiting for the next real estate crash.

you see, this.

people with money, can take advantage of people losing their homes, their tiny portfolios, and that's 10k fold for those with *real* money.

Every wealthy person i know LOVES a recession and crash, it gives them all and every opportunity to extend their wealth and widen the gap between the haves and have nots.

then we have the majority of the US, living paycheck to paycheck, who suffer the most. its really unfortunate.

that being said, im waiting for it all to come down so i can capitalize on the situation as well.

hell, I incorporated myself and file as a S-corp to take every single tax advantage I can. If you can't beat em, join em.

I have a sole-member LLC for my consulting, but I haven't elected S-corp taxation yet. So still pass-through. Mostly for liability reasons. I think there might be some tax benefits if I make over a certain amount on it. Need to talk to my person and find out.

i use special form K (if remembering correctly) to file as an S-Corp so I don't have to pay self employment tax on my LLC.

Good thing I got in early. I still have bottles from 2019 in my cabinet... How do I cash in without literally pissing it all away?

Quick question - why do people invest in "Federated Hermes Prudent Bear Fund Class A Shares (BEARX)" and similar funds?

Is it for tax reasons (capital loss), or as hedge - or something else?

friend told me to buy a TSMC option for a week because earnings were supposed to be 1/14. he bought 1 contract and since im a degen i bought more than 1 contract. it 2.5x'd this morning when the markets opened and a very likely-to-be-true rumor that 7nm intel chips were contracted to TSMC was soft confirmed by reuters and other larger outlets. looks like moar pump incoming, options are stupid.

Do you bet a lot on what friends tell you?

this guy in particular has mentioned 3 other options in the past 2 months that have hit that i didn't buy. i took the plunge for this one and it worked out. i'll probably continue to buy until the winstreak ends. i sold a few more this morning and locked in a double up with contracts left to ride out. ironically, i feel stock options are way less volatile than crypto lol its kind of therapeutic thinking about this stuff as opposed to crypto (especially since semiconductors/microchips are actual product you can evaluate)

Yeah, as we have discussed in the past, this thread is pretty much about investment, rather than speculation and day trading. :thumbup
