Good looking out brother! Was nice to see you, sorry we didn't get to bang bars this weekend! Good thing we have all season!! Though I'm going to have to catch up to the Expert waves (do Expert waves go before Novice?) before that happens, which should give you lots of breathing room :teeth:party:ride

Uhuhhhh I ran all sessions except for the first one and the wet one... :rofl:twofinger

You can catch me, we leave in the same wave in SBK and GP and probably stock too if i run it.

My pace this weekend was weak and I had a lot of bike specific fitness issues like throttle/brake hand cramping from not using a throttle / brake for 6 months. lol

Cant say i know the garage numbers but if you where standing at Pirelli looking out there was a couple RVs to the right. I was parked there with the RV and had the trailer disconnected and pushed under it some. I was right across from the garages and about 3 bays down from Perilli....

I did meet gabe, tall guy with dreads. dude is at every track day ive been too so i had to introduce myself. think he was hanging out in the garage....

But no worries brother we will be at plenty of days together im sure.

my son was riding around on a little 50cc and I was on the back a few times letting him run me around....

On a different note i loved that track, turn 2 was the only one that looked like it can easily get away from you. I was on a slow 400 trying to carry speed up the hill but i can see how a liter bike can easily catch the off camber with some speed.

now that i know the track i need to go back and rewatch the racing videos on it...

We were in one of the garages closest to pit entry if that helps, you probably rode past me every session :laughing

Gabe was the dude I was gunning for in September when Jay was holding me up... last year was his first AFM season like me... I’m looking forward to meeting him too. He needs to make an account here so we can start shit talking... his previous wwe experience should prove useful :D :rofl wtf is up with those man-bun-dreads??? Maybe I’m just jealous I can’t grow hair like that anymore!!!:rofl:laughing

Hope you/your son wasn’t dinged too bad... that’s a bummer... having a built in driver must’ve been nice :)

Sonoma on a warm day is so much fun, there’s never a time to relax, it’s like a roller coaster... actually it’s better than any roller coaster!!! I haven’t been caught out by an off camber turn yet, though that’s reflected in my lap times :laughing

Watching race videos of faster racers gets the blood pumping that’s for sure :ride

Don't even get me started on "weak" pace or setup/bike/physical issues :rofl but at least we had some fun that final A session on Sunday - that made my weekend! :thumbup

Drove down to the bay area and got my bike back from suspension.

Ordered new lights for suit...Thanks Jaybocc

Im leaving tomorrow night for Santa Rosa fairgrounds for 2 days of flat track. Then weather permitting ill be at T-Hill for Sunday and Monday...

You guys gonna be at either events?

I need to swap out my shock spring, thinking of taking to San Carlos to Catalyst Reaction but that’s pretty far from concord. Anyone know somewhere close to east bay that can swap an ohlins shock spring?

My next day will be 3/15 at buttonwillow for round 1... jealous of you and the flattrack!!! :ride

Catalyst was a bit of a drive from Sonora too....:teeth

Flattrack sound like itll be fun for sure. Nice they have a covered "areana". but I was gonna do it in the rain if thats how it went! Might have been even funnier like that....

Two more weeks before anymore track for me (the Friday BW test day is my next day on the track). Have a lot of dialing in to do that day, but pretty sure we can get it knocked out and get my little beasty cooperating!

When/Where did you see it? In real life? Please say hello next time! Looking forward to meeting you bro :) :ride

I got the shock removal/install process dialed in, I can get it out in less than 30 minutes without removing bellypan or exhaust. Just the two bolts on the shock itself, the link-to-swingarm bolt, and the two muffler hanger bolts along with the rear wheel and out she comes!

Jim at catalyst in San Carlos swapped the 85 rate spring for a 100 on Monday and I installed the shock back into the bike and loaded the trailer for round 1. Looking forward to 3/15 to get a baseline feel, big time :D

It’s fine! Don’t worry about it... Actually, swap in a super soft spring and lower your eye-to-eye measurement by 10mm and you’ll be set for next year. Maybe go up two teeth in the rear sprocket as well to shorten the wheelbase and increase the whoolies :twofinger:laughing

I got good advice and then went and did what I was thinking of doing anyways... although this time I think it was a safe bet... now if I had decided to attempt swapping it myself with some ratchet straps...:toothless

Jay, can you get that thing boxed up (forks too) and send them down to us ASAP? We can get them done and back...or send the shock and we'll do the forks trackside at BW.
