2015 MotoGP Summer Break musings

Toni was more successful than Karel in every class. hell, his results are at least on par w/ Crutchlow's. but who knows how he'll do since he hasnt been racing all year. shitty that his WSBK ride folded before the start of the season. he was fighting for a top 5 at Suzuka before a long mechanical and finished P14

in other news, Bradl has officially been released from his Forward contract

Biaggi: "Bradl would be a gift for Aprilia"

Aprilia needs someone willing to work and to give 100 per cent. A rider that grows with them. The Aprilia has to be developed to mix it up with the best of this class. Stefan rode a Yamaha recently and for three years before that a Factor Honda. He knows exactly what a good bike has to be like – which Aprilia now only can imagine. A rider like Stefan Bradl exactly knows to tell you, what to do, what has to be done on chassis and engine.

A brilliant analysis. I want Rossi to win (because I'm old and I want him to show the world that old guys can still kick ass...sometimes....but we pay for it the next day). But I'd put my money on Whoregay; the robot is riding a personal/professional peak...he might be the best motorcycle racer in the world (BMRITW) right now.

It's a real tossup to me. The one thing Rossi has is that he will finish on the podium. Jorge is capable of winning three of the last races or finishing fifth in them. Dani is a spoiler, and MM is a puzzle. He can learn from his last race, pace himself, and finish the season second in points, or he can go out and be his usual impetuous crazy self and win a handful and crash a handful.

The last race showed Jorge for what he has become, I think. A great racer who is probably his own worst enemy. He saw a hummingbird fly over a dandelion a week before the race and knew it was a metaphor for MM>

Jorge gets in this weird preservation mode. He gets a lead, then cruises around to get 2nd or 3rd. He doesn't have that constant killer instinct. Him falling a decent amount behind now will do wonders for him to close out strong.

I'd love to see Rossi win it one more time, if for nothing else than to remind Stoner what a real GOAT is. :laughing

If he wins it "one more time", you know he's going to come back hungry as fuck for the 2016 season. He seems to be the only one excited for next years changes and the possible leveling of the playing field.

And I think Rossi fights better than anyone. So if you stuff a bunch of folks in the way of MM and Jorge, Rossi will knife through and pull it out more often than not.

I keep saying to myself that this year is Rossi's last, best chance at another title.......But I think you may be right. This year could be awesome for Rossi, but next year might actually be his last, best chance at another title.

This season is so much better than the previous 3 seasons. If MM was just a little better positioned we'd have a legitimate 3-way "anybody's championship" situation. I'm not complaining though - it's good enough with it being so unpredictable between Rossi and Jorge. Lov'n it!! Both SBK races we amazing last week too!
