Snow? Yes, near the top of Yuba Pass:

Three Bodacious Babes of BARF! :love I suggested that they are really the Righteous Babes of BARF and they should pose like the Righteous Babe logo on Ani DeFranco CD's. Vicki and Sara make their opinions clear, while Gwynne continues to ponder it.

P1060233.JPG

When I said there might be muddy waters available, Gwynne definitely thought it would be a good idea. :laughing

Saturday Early Ride

Got up early and thought I'd have breakfast in a neighboring town: Crescent Mills or Green(er)ville via 89
P1070418.JPG

Greenville won, Crescent Mills had nada. Look at those foreboding clouds
P1070420.JPG

After breakfast this was 89 on route to Genesse. It's was as cold as it looks.
P1070426.JPG

This is all of Genesse the "town"
P1070435.JPG

View of just outside the town

Way up Genesse Rd to the burnt forest
P1070451.JPG

Far as I can go before I had to head back to Quincy before 10am. I'm sure that was the parking lot call. :party
P1070453.JPG

What a strange unearthly place.
P1070464.JPG

Lottsa twisties, but also lottsa debris around your next corner.

Here's some pix from my camera. I wish I could download some from my head of this sweet but short rally. 760 miles carries a lot of images and impressions. Thanks, everyone!

OspreyAtBridge.jpg Berryessa Bridge: There's an osprey upper left coming into the nest on utility pole on upper right. There were also hundreds of swallows zwooping under the bridge.

Thanks Kurt. Incredible route. Great roads, great scenery. I swear you can't swing a dead cat in the Sierras without hitting a breathtaking view.

Todd, any video?
Nope. I had the camera in snapshot mode. I'll probably put together a time lapse of L-L later.

You would have done fine with that Daytona Adventure Edition :teeth.
As for the familiar vantage point, I was going to post something snide like "yeah, Kurt whines when we don't let him go first", but I think the truth is that I lost my lead privs when I took us up the bicycle path in Colusa :blush

Ooh, let's not forget that little mess in Yuba City. :x

In truth, any time I think there are likely to be LEO's up ahead, I'm happy to let someone else lead. :teeth

Sarah's beauty! I love that Duc :) The ride down the mountain was a blast - following Kurt, Dennis, Mean dad, and Sarah - I hope I wasn't slowing you down Sarah. Those were some awesome, at times dusty and rocky turns :)
