What a great time and what a great group of riders. I had the chance to mix it up with several different groups and had a blast riding, watching and learning. Riding with folks who are way above your skill level is fun, challenging and exciting.

Friday 9/5
Couldn’t sleep. Maybe 3 hours. 6:30am start, off to Livermore: 121 to 37 to 80 to 780 to 680, off at Danville, back roads to Livermore Meet group. Scooterboy and I are the first to arrive. A scooter, eh? Cool. People roll in. Howyadoin'? Good, nicetomeetyou. Let's roll. Pack breaks up at the Yosemite gate. Mark (BigGuy), Vince (?), Shay (Circedk) and I roll down to Yosemite Valley for a nosh at the Ahwahnee. Sweet! Old school. We stop at the overlook on Tioga Pass Rd. Keep rolling through Lee Vining, stop at the CA/NV border, then roll on into Hawthorne. What? I get to have a room in the middle of the Vietnam Veterans Harley Group? Sweet! A few $0.50 beers at Joe's otta take care of that. Hey Dub713, wazzuFreddo, Jason and BARFers, great to meet ya, gotogotobed.
Saturday 9/6
I know my alarm is going to go off. No? That's okay, Harley dude starts his bike and does a full thottle wake-up call. Thank you Harley dude! Suit up, ready to go. Wait, BARFers in street clothes. WTF? Breakfast? Whatever. Who is heading out? On the road with Afterburner and Pre-Burner. Run into other BARFers in Benton. 120=awesome. 395+LEO=teh suck. Whoa Nelly=best fish taco's East of the Sierras. Back down 395 to June Lake loop. Hey, where did Pre-Burner go? Shit. R-U-okay? Good. Mother f-in' champ. Down to Mammoth Lakes. No, wait, that isn't happening. Keep going to Benton Crossing. More fun on the back roads to Benton then back to Hawthorne. RydTher dinner, get to meet more folks. What a great group this is! Great post day b-s-ing in the parking lot lounge.
Sunday 9/7
Where is Mortifer and the South Bay crew? Damn, are we late? Only for breakfast. Head out with NoGall, Gsxrgirrl, Budman, Jessi, Flying Hun, RazorRay, Paul and Afterburner. After a stop at the Mono Lake overlook it is off to Bridgeport. After seeing other BARFers rolling through, we mount up and head for 108. Sonora Pass, sweet. Run into Morterfer and crew in Dardanelle, regroup at the Donnell lake overlook. Roll on down to Sugar Pine for some BBQ at Big Daddy’s. Wheel Muse drops in. We say goodbye and thanks as Afterburner, Paul, Razor Ray and I head for 49 North to hwy 12 and home. 976mi round trip. What a blast, can’t wait to do it again.
